Europa League Semi Finals at Travellers Rest, Bugibba

Tonight we headed to Travellers Rest in Bugibba to watch the Europa League semi-finals, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We reserved a table with the owner, Joe, who made sure we had a great spot with two TVs—perfect for watching both games at once.

We decided to eat there too, and on Joe’s recommendation, we went for the full rack of spare ribs. Absolutely spot on—mouth-watering, tender, and full of flavour. They were served with a generous portion of fries and a fresh salad. For dessert, had a warm slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream—comforting and delicious.

A couple of pints of Guinness later, we were more than satisfied. The game started on a rough note but turned around nicely in the second half, making the whole evening even better.

The seating—both inside and outside—was very comfortable, and everything was spotless, including the restrooms. Service was excellent, and prices were as expected.

Well done Joe! We’ll definitely be back for the...

Waited for over an hour for food, people turned up after us got there food before us.. then when food turned up they replaced important things we ordered without telling us with things we never asked for .. the waitress then attempted to argue with us saying what we ordered didn't include these things but it was wrote clear as day in the menu and after showing her that then procided to say they swapped aspects of our meal around to cater for missing things ... We did order more drinks while waiting for our main but we had to cancel them before we got them because we was waiting over half hour for them and just wanted to leave .. complete waste of time and bad service .. do...

Found this towards the end of our holiday (sadly) What a great place. Cocktails were amazing (2 for 1 between 5 and 7pm I believe). We went back our two last nights! The rabbit stew was the nicest richest dish, as tender as can be. Highly recommend. The steaks on the second night, were again just perfect. The ambience of the place is lovely. It is clean, and there are no staff hanging about outside smoking,which I find off-putting. Would highly recommend and will...
