Vinnies — Restaurant in Saint Paul's Bay

Had "lunch" on a Sunday, it was obviously busy so we waited patiently for a table.

We were very hungry and I'm usually not very demanding in terms of food , specially if I'm hungry.

We ordered a seafood spaghetti, a "prawns cocktail" and the house burger.

The order took exactly 62 minutes (I've recorded it) and after 45 minutes I've asked the waiter if he had any idea where the food was, since two tables that came in after us , they were already eating. he said that i was only waiting for 25 minutes, ok. Great complaints handler. Never mind.

The prawn cocktail was the most disgusting I've ever eaten. The frozen prawns were obviously quickly unfrozen in the microwave and they were still hot when served. Unbelievable, never experienced a prawn cocktail served hot with very poor salad underneath and only mayonnaise on top. Where is the cocktail sauce? It's called cocktail for a reason !!!! And it costed 8 euros. Scam.

The spaghetti came into a massive portion that could be eaten maybe by my dog, a 1kg of overcooked spaghetti, with precooked sauce and very old looking frozen seafood. Not to mention that some penne pasta were inside the spaghetti.

The burger was completely unbeatable, the patty was drier than the desert, poor quality fries and very poor quality sausages. Just terrible. €12.50 for that thing.

If you have zero passion for your job , just close the doors to public. This is called scam, not a restaurant.

We left without eating it. At least, they very least they could do, They have not asked me to pay for the food, but instead I've paid for 1 hour waiting for unbeatable food and few drinks.

Never again. I'll never understand how people can...

The food is good, attitude and professionalism is bad. We sat there by chance, we liked the food and wanted to come back. However the service is so slow, extremely slow that it took 1hour 5mins for my dish to come and I was starving. I asked the waiter (he could be the manager) when I will have it... The wY he responded me was very rude and typical mansplaining. Using his finger towards me, he explained it is because we asked for a starter for my son and they start cooking main course only after starter is finished. I said “yes but it is still one hour”, then he gave me lecture (in a tone of voice that everybody else could hear) about “freshly made food”, assuming I never had fresh food on a restaurant. Then when we asked the bill 3 times from the waitress, in each of them she took it like we asked it first time. It took 20 mins for them to being the bill. Apparently freshly made bill takes time too. They could have just said, sorry it is taking time because restaurant is busy. That would be it. No needed to be rude and tell off to...

Would definitely not return here. Summary is that the waiters are super confused about their own menus and just not friendly overall. We called the restaurant in the morning to ask till what time they serve their breakfast menu and he said till 11.30am. Arrived there and we were given normal menu by the older female waitress. We asked for the breakfast specific menu but she said they don't have one and that they serve 'all day breakfast'. I asked for orange juice and the waitress said it was included. The male waiter passed by so we asked him about breakfast times and his exact words were 'we serve breakfast until 11.30 but also till 6pm' which made absolutely no sense. We received the food missing 1 piece of each item. Was advertised that we receive 3 pieces of each item to only get 2. We asked for the rest and were finally greeted by a more professional/polite waitress who brought the extra items over. Received the bill and I was charged separately for the orange juice as well. This place would do good to replace majority...
