Hi, after swimming in the pristine Ghar Lapsi water, I decided to eat in this restaurant to have a little rest under a shelter as I starving of hunger and the sunlights were too strong to bear in the scorching Maltese weather,
I did not have too many coins with me only 10 EUR and a few coins, I scanned the QR code on the table and look for a menu that I can afford with my pocket money, I went for a beef burger and a Coke it was like 12 EUR in total, however, the waiter approached me with, What would like to order Sir? I replied One beef burger and coke, please. He answered, Have you made a reservation Sir? I replied No, I did not. ( where they are many empty seats and tables to sit in. He was like Sorry Sir, I can not fulfil your request and he turn around. you need to book a table in advance. It was a standard response when a waiter/waitress does not want to take your order.
then I understood immediately, he would not like to process my order as it was not a hefty one stuffed with seafood and pasta to welcome me in the restaurant and eat a 12 EUR burger with a view for 15 minutes, even though I saw other bathers were swimming next to me had their tables
I am not the type of person to argue with people or waiters as I have always been nice and kind, especially to waiters, I decided to walk away and go back home hungry and cook something at home.
Perhaps you will go there and will indulge your lunch in such a beautiful place with a cool view, but there was a waiter with a poor judgement attitude part of the restaurant crew would not like to take my order because it was just only 12 EUR.
I would like to say sorry to the restaurant owner for the bad rate which does not reflect the quality of the food or restaurant, it is more a bad attitude and poor judgement that I got...
Read moreCute little place by the sea. The food was nice, some of it a bit pricey but good quality. The service though was not nice. First we arrived and saw 2 empty tables by the sea. When we asked the waiter if we can sit there she told us 'he has to tell you'. We didn't know who is 'he' but saw only one male waiter running back and forth amongst all woman waitresses so we guessed it was him. After a bit he came to us and when we asked if we can take one of those tables he just said no. After we were seated at another table we ordered the drinks and asked if any other table by the sea becomes available can we move, he again said no. Without any explanation just a rude NO. Most of the time we were there those 2 tables by the sea we wanted were empty, and some other became available. From all the waiters only this guy was able to take the food orders, he was running like a headless chicken from table to table looking very annoyed but trying to make jokes once it came to the bill stage. We got our drinks and starters quite quickly but we had to wait almost another hour for the main courses. With a more customer oriented treatment it would be a much...
Read moreGiving this two stars for the food - which was good, and for the friendliness of the servers. However, the "manager", who did nothing but sit on his phone throughout our whole meal and subsequent three bottles of wine, ruined our night. We booked a table for three persons, and ordered quite a substantial amount of food to share. While the food was good, and our table servers were great, we were practically driven away by this "manager" who told us to vacate our table immediately as there was another booking waiting for our table. The outside seating area was half empty. There was clearly nobody waiting for our table, even as we walked out. We had also ordered more wine after we finished our meal, plus a coffee and water. We were not hogging a table while not consuming anything - asking us to vacate our table in that situation I would have understood. However, we were clearly paying customers, still enjoying our meal/drinks, shooed away by this disgruntled guy with a bad attitude. Sorry dude, I like your food and your workers are truly great people, but I will not be coming to your restaurant again after...
