This experience have been incredible (in the worst sense) I will start from the very beginning: me and my friend were tired and wanted to eat something gluten free and we wanted something to be REALLY GOOD (spoiler: very disappointing) First of all, once arrived at the door there was a post it “no pizza today”. Anyway, we got inside and they said that for me (gluten free) they would have cooked a pizza, so I asked if that one was frozen and they said that they buy the pizza base from Sicily. I was “ok, then”. WE WAITED ONE HOUR AND WE JUST GOT THE SPRITZ. WE ORDER TEO GLUTEN FREE PIZZAS (13€ e 14€) AND ONE PORTION OF SWEET POTATOES (8€). WE GOT THE POTATOES ONE HOUR LATER IN THE SAME TIME WITH OUR PIZZAS. = they don’t know how tow to entertain clients and give them what they are waiting for : food. I’m okay if I have to wait more for my pizzas, but I give my 8€ potatoes IN THE MEAN TIME. Then, my pizza was horrible, not cooked enough, cold after two minutes, because was actually like a frozen one but with mozzarella and ham added later. We paid 53€ for something NOT WORTHY AT ALL. MOREOVER, we are italians and they are Italians. They knew they fucked up with us, because we are not simply tourists, we know what a good pizza looks and tastes like, and here we are to let you all know to NOT MAKE THE SAME...
Read moreFood: we ordered two pizzas, a pistacchio e mortadella with timilia flour base and a diavola with a low fat-high protein base, along with a portion of oven baked potatoes with rosemary and onions. Nothing to write home about, except for the fact that you will be paying an expensive bill for below average pizzas. Venue & Ambience: the place lacks character and cleanliness is not really that great. The toilets were not clean even though the restaurant was not busy during our visit. Service: the waitress was very sweet and well mannered.
Final thought: We visited this pizzeria after a friend of mine spoke highly of it. Unfortunately, it was not the case during our visit, which we hope was only a one-off experience. Situated in a very competitive location, I find it very hard to justify opting for Pizzeria Terra Madre over the likes of storie & sapori and salumeria gardens, to mention a few situated a few...
Read moreIt’s always great as a coeliac to find Gluten Free pizza. The restaurant can accommodate a number of food allergies which is really appreciated. I had the Buffala mozzarella pizza and the crust was very thick which I like - maybe there could have been a bit more cheese, it was overall delicious and good value for money. The staff were kind, professional and very good about asking if I was coeliac or not as they cook the pizza in a separate oven. I had a cocktail and it was very good. The place is comfortable and easy going. It’s a very relaxed environment with simple decorations but it’s clean. I would come back here. I rounded my rating up to 5, it’s more like...
