Hello Mr.Deepak. I believe that you want it detailed about what occurred on Saturday 17th May. Okay. As shown on the attached photo, you must have seen that a call was DONE contrary to what you are saying 'without a prior reservation'. I did call and i WAS attended by a girl confirming the reservation for 14 people - dinner for sat 17 may. Now, upon arrival, following the 'non reservation discussion' with the lady who was at the reception, i REQUESTED the lady to check her call log for that specific day i called, to which she REFUSED. And as the manager/owner, you should have checked the same before accusing us that we came without any prior reservation. Dont you agree ? Furthermore, yes we did return to come onto any negotiation which we thought could have been done following a good conversation with you or the manager. While we were explaining about what happen to you, we could sense that you were more in a hurry to end the conversation instead of understanding the situation. Before saying that we raised our voice and so on, i believe your staff, the lady, was doing the same and refusing again and again that no reservation was made, which could have made anyone 'raise their voice' We explained that we came from far, some from terre rouge, some from stpierre. We explained that there was a kid with us, who was hungry ! and some had other health issues and i believe it was fair for us at that time to dine somewhere else instead of making us wait to finally have a table at your restaurant for 1h30mins which was already confirmed 1week ago. Now about your comment on you offered your personal number, commercial consideration etc, that was done when we were in front of the other guests. After a while you offered us to get down and totally changed your words and your tone, also attitude. Once down, you started saying 'ki papier, ki papier, mo pa cone oken papier moi' about the written note we asked for, which could have been said in a more better way. Also, we did say we will leave comments about what went through and that's when you said 'okay, pena problem, oui okay'. So we just did what you agreed to. To be precised, feedbacks can be negative and positive. How you take positive ones, you should be able to reflect on the negative ones as well. That can help bettering your service. To end it, we noticed one of our family member left a comment on your page on facebook, which you deleted and block. That was not really professional from your part. The fact that google comments can't be deleted, you are being obliged to reply here, but on facebook, it's more visited by people and deletion and blocks can be performed says it all. We hope no other family gatherings/ groups go through what we did on that day. Wishing you the best. And please, next time, do narrate the whole story from both sides. Thank you.

I’ve been to Kesar twice and it has honestly been a forgettable experience. The cold-hearted service leaves a weird taste in your mouth even before the food lands on the table. The food is average with the best thing being the dal makhani and cheesy naan. It was around 20.45 on a Friday night. We were a party of 7 people with vegetarians and meat-eaters both. The restaurant wasn’t full and a small birthday party was going on in a corner. We ordered drinks asap but it took them more than 20 minutes to serve us (after we reminded them). One sad basket of complimentary broken-up papad was in the middle of the table with 3 chutneys that seemed quite watered down. It seriously confused us when our starters and mains arrived almost simultaneously. We had also ordered a Mix Bar platter but the lamb in there was quite tough - it could almost pass off as mutton. We had a kadhai paneer, baigan Madrasi, Patiala fish curry, chicken coconut curry and dal makhni. Some of them felt on the sweeter side but the chicken curry was pretty good. Various types of naan and rice were ordered. Naan could be charred more. We had a side of Kashmiri pulao but the nuts and dried fruits were missing, so it wasn’t authentic. Quite disappointing. We were also served a lady fingers dish that wasn’t ours. Service management was not well executed on that night. We were asked once if everything was alright - sure we had the food and all but you can see that there’s no passion at all for the food, for welcoming customers and for creating a good ambience. Not willing to go back.

First time visiting the place. The staffs were welcoming and very helpful. Service was very nice and waiters were very well mannered. 👌 The place also is very clean and cosy atmosphere and well lit. Only thing that is a bit odd is that sink/washbasin location, it is located outside the toilets and kind in the dinning area, so you have everyone looking at you when washing your hands 🙄 As for food, it wasn't as expected. Starters were good but main course's tasted a bit odd. They weren't that bad but weren't that good also, for example the butter chicken had an overpowering taste of cardamon and didn't really have the butter chicken taste or even color. This was my personal experience 🙂

I am expressing my extreme dissatisfaction with the abysmal experience my party of 14 persons endured at your restaurant, Kesser, located in Flacq, on 24th May 2025.

We had made a reservation a full week in advance via phone call, meticulously planning what we hoped would be an enjoyable gathering.

Upon our arrival, we were met with utter disarray and inexcusable rudeness. Your staff, specifically a female employee, claimed there was no record of our reservation. When we attempted to assist by asking her to check her phone for the incoming call number, she inexplicably refused to show it to us. This immediately raised red flags and suggested a complete lack of organization and accountability on her part.

To add insult to injury, when we escalated the issue to Mr. De*k, his response was beyond contemptible. His dismissive instruction to "go and do what you want" is not only unprofessional but a shocking display of utter contempt for a customer.

This entire ordeal was a testament to your establishment's unorganized and incredibly rude operational standards. The failure to honor a confirmed reservation, coupled with the disrespectful and unhelpful attitude of your staff and manager, made for a truly appalling experience.

We left Kesser feeling frustrated, disrespected, and utterly disgusted.

The level of service we received is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on your...
