Spring Restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

I was invited there in April 2024. It was actually my second time dining at this restaurant. The person who invited me had already pre ordered a Peking Duck. This was served first although we had asked for appetisers to be served first. I would give it a rating of 4 on 5. There was a lack of vegetables. We then had the appetisers, which was a mix of shrimps, calamari, beef and chicken. I would rate that platter as 3 on 5. As main dishes we had fried noodles, cantonese fried rice, sweet and sour pork, fish black beans and beef. The noodles were a bit oily but tasted good. The score for the main dishes is at the best 3.5 on 5. I would like to point out that the waitress was very friendly and did a good job. Overall experience...

Food is disgusting. The menu is priced per single person portion; so if you’re dining in a group, they’ll ask you to order 2-3 portions. This means a fish dish of Rs 550 will become Rs 1650, which is outrageous for the quality and quantity of food. We ordered simple food for 12 people and the bill came up to over Rs 12000… that’s nuts. The wait for food was also long. It took us one hour for our first dish to be served and another 2 hours for the last dish… despite several reminders that we had young starving kids with us. The waiters were impatient and rather rude.

Don’t trust the 5 star reviews. It’s a scam. They mostly used the same key words, which suggest that they probably paid some people to post...
