During our 2 days training sessions at Officea, we had the privilege of enjoying F&B services provided by La Cantine by Zakadi. The catering included an arrival break, mid-morning break, lunch, and an afternoon break. Lunch was served plated based on our prior selections, and the breaks featured a delightful variety of five sweet and savory pastries/Danishes, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences.
The ambiance and décor provided a homely feeling, with local photos related to Mauritius and Rodrigues Island displayed on the walls. The seating arrangements included small sofas and high tables in both outdoor and indoor setups, allowing easy movement and accessibility for everyone.
Throughout our stay, we were warmly welcomed and served by Morine, Vikesh, and Akshay, who consistently handled our last-minute changes with a smile. Despite the sometimes picky and choosy nature of clients, they provided excellent, friendly, and courteous service.
The food portions were generous and tasty, making the training session feel more like a food tasting experience. The samosas with chasive and the fried snacks were particularly delightful, melting in our mouths while retaining a crunchy texture. The mini buns, always fresh, were stuffed with chicken or vindaye poisson. The vindaye poisson, in particular, was exceptional—one of the best I've ever had.
For lunch, we had options of fish, chicken, and vegetable menus. On the first day, I tried the vegetable lasagna, which featured layers of vegetables stuffed with béchamel sauce and topped with a golden baked cheese layer. On the second day, I enjoyed the Blanquette de poulet, where the chicken pieces in white sauce, accented by mustard, offered a distinctive and delicious flavor.
In terms of pricing, the portions matched the price well, making it an affordable choice. I highly recommend La Cantine by Zakadi and extend special thanks to Morine, Vikesh, and Akshay for enhancing our experience with their...
Read moreWe have our office located at Vivea Business Park and I have eaten at Zakadi several times in the last year.
I have tried many dishes, burgers, beef sautée, pasta, and fried noodles among others, but unfortunately, I have been disappointed every time. I am afraid that there is no care put in the preparation of those dishes. I do not mean to be harsh but this was my personal experience. I hope you take this as constructive criticism and look into how the food is being prepared.
I tried the stir-fried noodles today 19/03/2024, and it seems like the noodles were stir-fried with way too much soy sauce separately and that the chicken was just thrown on top. No veggies other than some greens. The noodles were overcooked (soggy) and again way too salty. It seemed rushed.
Please, put some more care and effort into preparing your dishes. We are paying for them and expect a much higher quality for the price you are...
