Baja Toto Drink's — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

If I could give this place a negative 100 stars I would. We took a taxi from our Carnival cruise after hearing this was a great beach. The beach was gorgeous but the experience at the restaurant was mortifying. When we checked in we had to buy a table and chairs, 2 lawn chairs, and were told we could buy the all inclusive option with unlimited drinks and food. I reiterated that it was all food on the menu and all drinks (and told her we had a rough experience the day before with "all inclusive" excluding tons of things) and she said nope not here everything is included. When we paid we also calculated later since she gave us change in Pesos and she took an extra $20 for herself. The food was mediocre and the drinks were mediocre but we didnt care because it was "all included." When we went to leave to use the restroom (which also costs money if you want freaking toilet paper as its included to pee but you have to tip to wipe) and take a taxi we were stopped in our taxi and told we owed 200 for the bill. We had our 2 young kids in the car so I told my husband to stay with them while I went and cleared things up. She fought me and told me she said we would get all the stuff and $40 towards our "all inclusive." When I fought she brought me to the boss and talked with him for 5 minutes in front of me (I dont speak fluent Spanish so no clue what she said but she spoke great english when she first told us about our all inclusive day) but the end result was tough you pay us the money or you go to jail. She flaunted that she had me on camera to prove she never said that and I happily said lets watch it! They refused to view the footage and held me hostage to even going to talk to my husband "since we tried to walk out on our bill and wouldnt trust me to walk away." They belittled me and laid hands on me and told me they've never had a complaint before me. Too bad I didnt read the reviews before we came because they have horrible reviews. I didnt have a card or enough cash to pay them so when they finally released me absolutely hyperventilating and in tears my husband had to go back and give them $200 (we also left $30 on the table that magically disappeared during all this so they wouldnt include that) for our "all inclusive day" and would not allow the taxi driver to take us until we did. We were absolutely powerless to fight anything being in another country, being threatened that we would go to jail, and knowing we had to be back in time for our ship leaving. You would have to drag me and torture me before I ever came back to this place on my own accord. If you are looking for a fun day in La Paz DO NOT COME HERE or you will never want to come back. I have loved mant places we've gone in Mexico but this has soured me in ever wanting to come back or cruise even. So sad because truly the beach was gorgeous (minus the 364 times we had to say no to everyone bothering you to buy the ame things) but I hope this place burns to the ground. Loved the view and the atmosphere was good. The service was spotty we were rarely checked on and we had to call the waiter over when we needed anything. Upon closing the check the waiter demanded a 10% tip and continued to have a discussion about how his service was top notch and if we didn't give the 10% we shouldn't give anything at all bc we would be offending him. We were a group of 4 and although the service was spotty and not good in our opinion we were still going to leave him with a good tip. But demanding 10% and lowkey causing a scene was unprofessional and left a bad taste in our mouth. Terrible service and below average food. They also charge you $400 pesos to use their lounge chairs on top of what you pay for food. Every mesero was charging different groups different prices for lounge chair and table rentals too. Restaurant next door asks for a deposit for tables/chairs but it goes toward your food/drinks. We also waited 50 minutes for 1 ceviche tostada and they never brought our 1 beer. Beware of the loud house/club music on repeat all day..what a nightmare. I would advise you check out other restaurants in the area and stay away from this...
