This is my new favorite restaurant in La Paz. I've been here several times recently and look forward to returning and introducing others to it. It's only open for breakfast and early lunch so, plan accordingly! FOOD: It serves truly regional, Choyero, food. They also have a few delicious new twists on those traditions, such as the Empanada Goloza, which is the traditional Southern Californian-style beans and machaca empanada but served "open-face" and with a slice of queso fresco or the Burrito Entron which is a traditional bean and machaca burrito with fried eggs in the middle or the Huevos Montados which are crispy-fried tortillas with ham and eggs and salsa on top. So far, the only negative that has happened a few times are the eggs. They only seem to be able to make eggs that are very well done. Drinks: They serve traditional BCS-style coffee with a refill. The aguas frescas are overly sweet, bottled versions but they're nicely served in a glass of ice for you. SERVICE: Generally excellent, attentive waiters who are not whisking everything away before you've finished but not letting you sit without checking in on you, either. But, there have been some exceptions when we had to catch their attention after several tries. AMBIANCE: For a place that's located right on a street corner that's relatively busy, it's amazingly peaceful. Even without a/c, it's plenty cool on hot days. Lots of greenery and shade and nice, wooden tables and chairs. The mural on the outside is a beautiful rendition of some of the emblematic cave paintings of BCS. There is a take-away counter on the street-side but you go into their patio for in-person dining. There is a ramp at the entrance but it's fairly small so if you're in need of that, be sure to check the measurements in advance. The slope isn't steep as it's very short but the width may not be sufficient for all.

The service, price and food was very good! I tried the Huevos Montados con Jaman y Queso and loved it!
