We went here while we were staying at Puerto Bonito. This is a surcharge restaurant so it isn’t part of the all you can eat or drink package. There is a surcharge to eat here. Ours was about 60 per person. So it is kind of pricey considering what has already been paid for staying in the resort. The steak was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was on the thin side for a rib eye. The place is beautiful right on the beach with beautiful views. You can dine inside or outside. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We called to make reservations at 5:00 and got in at 6:00 on a Thursday night. Reservation is required. I noticed they had some steaks at one of the free restaurants at the resort. Not the same ambiance but definitely a cheaper alternative. Hey Tina, how do you send me those pictures to my can you maybe airdrop them so they stay good?

For warning; upcharged prices. Paid over $360USD for two four course meals (lobster and steak). Two choices of entrees, side, and house drink. Choices for entrees: Loster and steak ($60USD). Sides: Baked potato and salad. Ordered cheesecake and would rate it a 3. House drinks would rate it a 2 or 3. Cucumber margaritas with chille on top was the horrible ($20USD). Would NOT recommend. Overall, experience was okay. Good scenery. But, was misled because we bought an all exclusive bracelet that came with the hotel. And, was NOT told by the host nor waiter that the bracelet was NOT included. Told us that the courses was $40USD total. But, when the check came out it was over $360USD thunking it was in pesos. And if you seethis man he is the one Misleading the people. Here are the complaints that I file and they have not Call me.

Everything at these resorts is an up-charge. The signature drinks were all a $20 USD/each up-charge. The staff were very nice and polite, but the food was just so-so. My filet was very rare and my Fiancé’s filet was medium-well. We both asked for medium rare. For a place handing out $700 checks for a table of 5, this is simply unacceptable. I only had one drink and everyone else had two a piece. By the way, ask them about their Mac and cheese (a staple at nearly every steakhouse on the planet), it’s KRAFT MAC AND CHEESE out of a box!!! When I asked the waiter about it he totally ignored me! We are owners at the sister resort (Pueblo Bonito Sunset beach) and are now going to unload this time share for dirt cheap due to this recent stay.

The unexpectedly poor service started upon arrival. When we got there, the hostess asked if by any chance my husband and I were celebrating a special event. We let them know about our March birthdays and they took notes. That was unexpected, but a considerate notion (or so we thought). In fact, had a reservation that they could not find even though my husband showed them confirmation through Pueblo Bonito’s app on his phone! Once seated, service was very slow. Slower than slow…Probably waited 25-30 minutes between being seated and being able to order food. Waiter ordered our food but then did not ask about drinks! Had to tell the busboy bringing bread and olives what we wanted. These were then brought about 15 minutes later. Appetizers came and were finished. Had to wait roughly another 25-30 minutes for our food! Way too long and seemed like we were forgotten! Once food came (steaks were delicious to be fair!) and finished, had to wait to another 20 minutes or so for anyone to check in on us and take our dessert order, which was part of our upgrade fee. I am not kidding when I say that we asked for it to simply be packed to-go because by that time we were done with this place and then waited about 30-40 minutes to receive it and check out! In between that time, the busboy cleaned up most everything on our table except for our waters and my husband’s drink making us feel as if WE had to hurry up and leave! And no special birthday song or acknowledgment of any kind. Why ask earlier? Mind you, we had the all-inclusive Deluxe Meal Plan and paid $40 more each to eat here! I hope this poor experience truly was an anomaly, but two tables near ours also looked like they were waiting long periods of time for...

We had dinner here on a Saturday night at 7. It was for a friend's birthday. We were staying at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Resort. There was 10 of us for dinner in our group. We're still not sure how why but we had a fixed menu for our dinner. It was amazing! Bread and butter was brought out first, followed by a salad. Then a few different appetizers. Friend shrimp with a certain sauce, deconstructed caprese salad, marinated olives and I think something else that I can't remember. For the main course, you got to choose between a ribeye, filet, NY strip or seafood risotto. 9 of us had different cuts of steak and the last person got the seafood risotto. The sides were asparagus, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The dinner was finished off with an assortment of desserts. We all agreed that the food was delicious! I had the filet. It was tender (I ordered mine well done. I know, I know but I can't help it, that's how I prefer my steak) and had great flavor. Not burnt, not dry. The sides were sooo good. We knew going in that it would be an upgraded charge to our package as that was made aware when we booked and again when we checked-in. Best meal of the entire trip and I would absolutely eat here again and recommend. The staff was amazing and kind and funny. I've never had a restaurant bring me and my friends a purse stand. We hadn't even sat down all the way and they were sitting down this stand to hang our purses on. We even got to watch some fireworks while...

Unfortunately, once you get beyond the views, you realize that this restaurant is over-hyped, over-priced and disappointing. We booked a birthday celebration dinner based on recommendations & were really looking forward to a lovely evening. We should have known when we were seated at a wind-blown table stuck in a corner, that required a heater, that it wasn’t going to be great. Our drink and appetizer orders were taken and a bread service was delivered. Twenty minutes later our appetizers arrived followed five minutes later by the drinks. We ordered our main course which was delivered 1 1/2 hours later! My steak & sides were all delivered cold. My wife’s entree- lamb, was under-cooked. It took another 15 minutes for a server to check on us! We explained that the food & the time taken to serve us were unacceptable and asked for our check.

My suggestion- visit to play golf but go somewhere else to dine. Unfortunately, this experience was on the last night of our trip & there are no mulligans in the Quivira Golf...
