Restaurant La Huerta — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

We came for the 2-4-1 margaritas and the music. It was cold outside, so they closed the curtains to help me stay warm ( a very good first impression). At first glance, the food menu seemed expensive. I wasn't looking for a big meal, so they made an exception and let me order just one taco.

First, they brought out chips and salsa to the table ( a first during our visit to Mulege), and then she brought out a taza de sopa. I pointed out I only ordered a taco. It's included, free of charge, and it was wonderful! My fish taco had twice the meat of any other I have had in the last 3 weeks here, and it came with a side of guacamole. (45 pesos doesn't seem expensive now)

Have been visiting Mulege for almost 40 years and always wanted a great place on the river for dinner. I finally discovered La Huerta last week and was blown away; beautiful outdoor patio shaded by trees with a view of the river. Food was fantastic, service was friendly and quick. We ate dinner and breakfast here. The Chilaquilas are excellent, the nopal quesadillas were great, the shrimp omelette was awesome, good chilli rellenos, chicken enchiladas were very good. Service was great both meals and we will definitely eat here again if we get the opportunity. Oh, and...
