I would give this 10 stars across the board if I could. We did dinner under the stars and it was worth every penny and more. We felt like VIPs from the moment we walked through the gate and it was like walking into a luxury piece of heaven. The food was exceptional, the service impeccable, The projection screen gave us all kinds of historical information, and mother nature did the rest with a glorious sky of stars. They picked us up in town and chauffeured us so we didn't even have to worry about over indulging in their strawberry margaritas and wine. We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday, and were delighted to have an amazing meal. First course, a fresh beet salad, second course I had the fish with an adobo sauce made with chilis from the farm, and roasted vegetables. Hubby had the grilled skirt steak, which he raved about, followed by a port wine braised pear. Absolutely sweet people. San Javier Farm is well worth the drive into the mountains. The meal matched the surrounding beauty. The food was fresh, incredibly local, and cooked well. Slow season has started, so keeping food up to standard can be difficult, but this was not the case. The only taste complaint was the clam chowder was a too watery for me, hardly an issue.
