Had an opportunity to chat with the owner who proudly shared his family history in the area. He’s third generation living in this pristine mountain town, making a living by serving food they grow in their beautiful gardens and orchards! The coffee was perfect and the little coyotas, fruit filled empanadas, that look like tiny pies, were divine! They also make a homemade first pressed wine that was tangy and also delicious! Besides the 300- year old mission that dominates the town, the beautiful gardens, the out of this world landscapes and the lovely people are so worth the drive from Loreto! San Javier BCS is a small village hidden in the Sierra de las Giganta mountains with a traditional authentic Mexican restaurant and you can buy local wines and tour the Olive Tree gardens.
