¡Viva Mexico! Do you know what the soul needs after nearly a four-hour drive to Mexicali? Carne asada tacos, pizza al pastor, and maybe some Mexican Coca Cola.

I'm not the biggest eater but the carne asada taco was so good, I ordered a second one. At $1 a pop and at the size of a frisbee, it was an easy decision. Did I end up eating both? Not really. I'm glad my friend was there to eat the other half of my second carne asada taco. Top it with some nopales, guacamole, cabbage, some beans, and both red and green salsa. As for the pizza al pastor? Bliss. You see them grilling up the al pastor on the spit right outside and the pineapple is such a delight. Don't forget to top it with some onion and cilantro. One slice was plenty for me.

El Pirul Asadero es de esos lugares donde los tacos no fallan. Si buscas carne al carbón con sazón auténtico, tortillas recién hechas y servicio rápido, aquí vas a salir más que satisfecho.

🌮 Comida

Los tacos de carne asada y tripa son espectaculares: bien servidos, con sabor a brasa y consistencia perfecta. Y lo mejor: las tortillas de maíz son hechas en el momento, lo que eleva el sabor a otro nivel. También ofrecen tacos de cortes finos como ribeye, suadero, pastor y tortas bien preparadas. Últimamente incluyeron pizzas al carbón, pero honestamente no encajan. Esto es una taquería con identidad, y su fuerte está en los tacos. Zapatero a tus tacos.

🍳 Desayunos

Tienen opciones desde temprano, como chilaquiles, hot cakes, huevos al gusto, además de sus clásicos tacos. Ideal para un desayuno contundente sin complicaciones.

🧂 Complementos

Salsas caseras, guacamole fresco, zanahorias encurtidas, rábanos, cebollitas… todo bien surtido y de buena calidad. Aquí se nota que no escatiman.

🚗 Servicio y atención

Puedes hacer pedido desde tu vehículo, lo cual es súper cómodo si vas de paso. El servicio en general es rápido, amable y eficiente, incluso cuando hay fila. Las mesas están limpias y el ambiente es familiar, práctico y sin pretensiones.

No aceptan tarjeta ni transferencias. Es solo efectivo, así que ve preparado desde antes para evitar contratiempos.

📝 Conclusión

El Pirul Asadero no necesita trucos ni presentaciones modernas. Es directo, sabroso y cumplidor. Si vas por tacos, te vas a ir contento. Nada de menús pretenciosos: carne, tortillas recién hechas, guarniciones bien servidas y todo hecho al carbón. Eso sí, lleva efectivo, porque aquí no se aceptan tarjetas ni transferencias.
