OK, over the last week or two, I have had the urge to get some Sushi here in Rosarito, I have tried 4 different places, and would only return to one!
And this is NOT ONE OF THEM!
I walked in and ordered Hot Tea, Monster roll, tempura, and a Shrimp egg-roll.
The Shrimp egg roll, was interesting and tasty, served with a sweet chili flake sauce. - Not bad, would do this again.
Hot tea, way to much tea, and tasted like it had been brewing for hours! - nope not again.
The roll, was to be a Spicy Tuna roll, not spicy at all, way to much plain white rice (about .5", all the way around), and way to much Garlic, that was pretty much all you could taste. - They served the wrong roll, and I pointed at the menu while ordering!
The replacement roll, the same .5" coating or plain white rice (not sushi rice), I tried a piece and called the waitress over and asked her where the tuna was and pointed at a small dot of tuna, about the diameter of the chop stick, not spicy at all, she told me that was it!
Over all on the roll, it was loosely rolled, and fell apart just by touching it, it was not round and was a poor presentation.
The Tempura was irregular in sizes, some moist some crispy, and some RAW, I could not even cut the carrot with my fork!
I ask for Gari (Ginger), the cook had to come out, I ask him for Gari, I had to explain to him that the proper name for Pickled Ginger was “Gari”, he at this point told me that “Ikeda Of Japan” was not a Japanese restaurant, it was “Fast Food”. I must agree it was more like Mall Food than Japanese!
At the end I had the rest of the roll put in a box, and there I sat for 20 min to get the bill.

All of the dishes including the sushi rolls are 90% made of rice I will never order from this place again this is a bootleg sushi place. And for all the people that are giving it 5 Stars they obviously have not tasted authentic Sushi... thank...

Never has service late, staff seems in hurry to leave, closing time is 10 pm but they just leave door open and inform anyone that shows that they are out and good bye. Has happened...
