La Casa del Tutuli — Restaurant in Baja California

We had a phenomenal steak dinner at La Casa del Tutuli steakhouse, a quaint family-owned & operated restaurant in Mexicali. This little gem of a place is off the beaten path but well worth the drive. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty! Chef Dani came out and recommended one of the family meals for us to share (ribeye steak, taquitos, rice, beans, salad). We also ordered the porterhouse steak with vegetable skewers which were all outstanding! So much food, big portions & everything came out sizzling hot! We enjoyed a nice bottle of Shiraz that Chef recommended. Dessert was a delicious funnel cake topped with cinnamon apples, vanilla ice cream and caramelized sugar. Wow, wow, wow, beautiful plating! Great 5 star service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Don’t forget to ring the bell...

Okay so I found another diamond in the ruff.... This is in the side of Mexicali near Costco. I didn’t make church so we googled a restaurant near us. I prayed on what business to bless that would in turn bless me and my family. I was so in love at first site. Crocodile, rabbit Cornish hens ohh my!!!... For dessert funnel cake! Oh by the way they have a great promotion. If you add them on Facebook and follow them they give you a shot or a dessert and also for other social media platforms each add will get you a complimentary item!!!!🫶🙌❤️🙏😍🎁

Mi experiencia en "La Casa del Tutuli", el steakhouse, fue satisfactoria en general. Mi hija y yo optamos por la Parrillada Tutuli, y quedamos impresionados por el punto de cocción de las carnes. Estaban deliciosamente preparadas, con un sabor que se deshacía en la boca. También tuve la oportunidad de probar su café de olla, que resultó ser una sorpresa muy sabrosa.

El restaurante es acogedor pero bastante pequeño, lo que crea una atmósfera íntima. Aunque no tuvimos la suerte de presenciar música en vivo durante nuestra visita, nos comentaron que ofrecen actuaciones en ciertos días, lo que debe añadir un toque especial a la experiencia.

Es importante mencionar que "La Casa del Tutuli" se encuentra en una zona que podría considerarse un poco riesgosa, y no cuenta con estacionamiento propio. Sin embargo, tuvimos suerte al encontrar un espacio justo enfrente de la puerta.

El servicio fue bueno, aunque no necesariamente excepcional. El personal fue amable y atento, lo que contribuyó a que nos sintiéramos bienvenidos.

El menú es amplio y se centra principalmente en carnes, con algunas opciones exóticas en determinados días, como cocodrilo, codorniz, huevos de codorniz para el desayuno, conejo, cabrito, ancas de rana y lechón. Si eres un amante de las carnes y te gustaría probar platillos inusuales de vez en cuando, "La Casa del Tutuli" podría ser una opción...
