Laguna Azul — Restaurant in Baja California

I’ve been customer for many years but this time it was not a good experience, first I ordered pescado ala plancha which they brought on a very big plate, the presentation was not too appealing then I tried the fish and it was so dry on that huge plate but I didn’t want to be picky so I just ate it. My daughter ordered 1/2 a dozen of oysters (ostiones) and it was extremely salty and for some reason they gave a barbecue sauce to accompany it, she tried to drown out the salt with the lime they brought but the limes weren’t even ripe! They were really hard to squeeze but we continued on. On top of this the customer service also was not usually this bad but man today they never even came to see if everything was fine with me and my family, we felt totally forgotten about. A girl came nearby to the check stand so I looked at her and I asked if I could get a refill on my limonada which she said yes to but never ended up coming back nor did she even ask the waiter to come over to my table. There was honestly 0 service as I had to ask another waitress if she’d discard our plates because nothing would fit on the table! I was really disappointed with our experience today, but I felt empathetic for the staff as I heard the managers speaking to them in harsh tones which can really kill your attentiveness as a waiter. I visit this excellent seafood restaurant every time I come to my hometown Mexicali, super clean, customer service is always excellent. Cold kitchen (cocktails, ceviche, etc ) will be served immediately but hot plates like shrimp sopes, shrimp fetuccini, soups, etc. will take longer, for this reason waiter asked us if we wanted everything together. Parking is not a problem as it has plenty of parking spots at the back of the building where your car is being watched by their security team. I came solo today and fortunately I am a person that enjoys their own company. First off let me explain that my Spanish is very weak even though I understand at a much better rate. The waitress denied speaking English but the smile she and her assistant had overcame any language barrier. A point at a chabela de cameron and a Coke was met with both of them smiling affirmative nod yes and it was all good. Her assistant took over from them and he had it under control. A very nice young man that could give lessons on customer service to make waiters I've met. As for the food. EXCELLENT AND A LOT OF IT. Happy...
