Mariscos Don Timón Mar y Tierra — Restaurant in Baja California

This place is seriously amazing! We stumbled upon it randomly when our dog was undergoing surgery, and we needed something to do since we live in Los Angeles. Let me begin by saying that the service is hands down the best we've ever experienced. Yesterday marked our second visit, and we weren't sure if we could enjoy their food with our dog. Despite him being well-behaved, I'm aware that Mexico has stricter pet policies. When my partner asked if we could dine outside, they gladly agreed, making us and our pup feel incredibly welcome. I regret not asking for the server's name, but the woman and the gentleman crafting drinks at the bar are truly exceptional. The gentleman, in particular, has a knack for making guests feel extremely welcome, and on top of that, he's incredibly knowledgeable about alcohol and almost anything else. My partner started with a Bohemia beer, and I opted for a Michelada. I don't usually drink, and when I get a Michelada, I never finish it, but this one was too good to resist—I wanted to keep going. Now, onto the food—it's incredible. Unlike most seafood places that can be either overwhelming or underwhelming in flavors, this place is perfection. Everything is fresh, and the flavors burst in your mouth. We literally woke up today wishing we could eat there again. We will definitely return and highly recommend everyone to come here!

¡Este lugar es increíble en serio! Lo descubrimos al azar cuando nuestro perro estaba siendo operado y necesitábamos algo que hacer, ya que vivimos en Los Ángeles. Quiero comenzar diciendo que el servicio es absolutamente el mejor que hemos tenido. Ayer fue nuestra segunda vez aquí y no sabíamos si podríamos disfrutar de su comida teniendo a nuestro perro. Aunque es bien educado, sé que en México son mucho más estrictos con las mascotas. Mi pareja preguntó si podíamos cenar afuera y amablemente dijeron que sí, haciéndonos sentir muy bienvenidos, tanto a nosotros como a mi cachorro. Desearía haber preguntado el nombre de los meseros, pero la mujer y el caballero que prepara las bebidas en la barra son excepcionales. El caballero en particular tiene una forma de hacerte sentir extremadamente bienvenido, y además, es súper conocedor del alcohol y prácticamente de cualquier otra cosa. Mi pareja comenzó con una cerveza Bohemia y yo pedí una Michelada. Personalmente, no suelo beber y, cada vez que tengo una michelada, nunca la termino, ¡pero esta michelada era tan buena que no pude resistirme a terminarla! Ahora, en cuanto a la comida, es increíble. La mayoría de los mariscos que comemos suelen ser abrumadores o poco impresionantes en sabor, pero este lugar es la perfección. Todo es fresco y los sabores simplemente estallan en la boca. Literalmente, nos despertamos hoy deseando poder comer allí de nuevo. ¡Definitivamente volveremos y recomendaremos a todos que...

Just walking around, I suddenly realized that there was a new place around, so my wife and I decided to go check it out, and I was very surprised by how clean and new it looks. Seafood places tend to be ... not this nice looking, it's super clean and very comfortable to be in. The prices are just and food is very nicely served. I had some shrimp tacos, and they were excellent!

Family run seafood restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Service was vey friendly and helpful. Had aguachile of shrimp and scallops.
