Taikishi — Restaurant in Baja California

The food was delicious. We went during a week day for a late lunch and we did not know what to expect. Fortunately, there were very few people so we got served quickly. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and the salmon salad with ponzu sauce. The salmon was prepared differently from what we are used to. The salmon skin was fried crispy tossed on the greens with shredded seaweed on top. To drink we first ordered the house tea. It was good but a bit too sweet for our liking. Incredibly enough, you don't always have to look into fancy malls, or fancy parts of the city to get a 5 star experience. The place is just big enough to avoid big crowds, which is a big plus for me. The service is just right, and the food is delicious! 2021 update!

2nd time ordering by phone and the guy kept mumbling and talking very low. You can hardly understand him. Even when we picked up the order he talked so low he kept mumbling. They need a new person to take orders by phone and able to speak loud enough for customers to understand him.
