My husband and I made complete fools of ourselves and the staff of Tito's were gracious and hospitable. We arrived about 5:20 pm and asked for a table for two. Our Spanish is feeble, but my husband thought they said we'd have to wait 10 minutes, which made no sense, since the place was nearly empty. We asked for a table near the bar and were greeted and served by a smiling and attentive server. We enjoyed our meal -- as we always do at Tito's -- and asked for our check. We noticed that no one else was coming in and they appeared to be doing a shift change or something ... turns out they were closing. In fact, they were set to close at 5:30, 10 minutes after we arrived, but we didn't understand what the greeter told us in Spanish and must have looked like pushy gringos when we asked to be seated by the bar! When we left, they closed the door behind us and that's when we figured out that we had misunderstood and they had still been incredibly kind and served us a dinner, while trying to close up and go home!
Please don't make our mistake, but do go check out their delicious seafood. And tip generously -- these folks...
Read moreWe came for the battered fish tacos. They were huge tacos as the photos attest to. We seem to stop here as a matter of habit now while passing thru to Ensenada to visit family. It’s become a tradition of ours. Steve ordered one shrimp taco and one fish taco and Jose and I had 2 fish tacos each. The servers make quite the ruckus for special occasions so if you’re into that public notoriety then let them know🎂🍻we ordered a Tecate light and a shot of tequila which was served with lime and salt. Steve ordered the decadent Oreo cookie cake for dessert. You have the convenience of clean public lavatories and a sink with soap and water and a hand dryer on the wall. The full bar is new to us, we haven’t been to Ensenada in a couple of years so now the dining room is enclosed on all sides. It’s a nice place to eat. It has a large parking lot dedicated to...
Read moreI can't say I loved this place, I, just iffy about it. I use to live in Rosarito for a while and remember all the restaurants starting up from nothing. This is a member I just cant delete lol Before the roads were paved there would be dust everywhere, even now there still is. We would call these restaurants "dirt or dusty taco places" lol I know horrible but hello theres dust on everything! I was a little scared coming here but my friends dad really wanted to come. I will say its DIRT CHEAP, get it hahahhaha ok I'll stop. but no really its extremely inexpensive. I think the fish tacos have too much fried stuff on them. The fish ceviche tosatada was huge but I didn't like it really. I mean there are about a dozen other places, closer to the actual beach to try.
If you are on a super budget then...
