Hello to all travelers ! Since I posted beautiful photos and gave this place good reviews a few years ago, I feel the need to revise my opinion based on our last visit in 2018 : the hotel was sold and the first change the new owners made was to increase the price to the level of a 3 star hotel, but without providing the service, amenities or even changing the old, worn out bedding, blankets and towels ( the towels were so worn out and thin, almost see thru ) there is no breakfast included in the price and if you want a little foam cup of bad, burned coffee in the morning, they charge you over $1 ! the hotel had a balcony, a terrace, nice and open, and where people could enjoy the sun and breeze or even have a gathering, now they built more rooms on it, but they did not bother to renovate any of the ancient, moldy bathrooms with ugly cracked, broken tile or the old cigarette burned sinks. -the WiFi is still spotty or inexistent, the new tv-s were nice and the new carpet looked ok for the first months, but it's still carpet and I don't think it's the right kind of flooring for a high traffic public place . -and high traffic it became since nowadays you can hear people coming and leaving at all hours of night - we thought they started renting by the hour last time we stayed there, it certainly sounded like it ! Plus every night we spent there was a different noisy issue : a drunk customer in a stolen truck, chased by the police, finally arrested in the hotel, at gun point !!!! Fire department evacuating everybody from the rooms because of an alarm in the utility area, but what uitility ' cause there's no heat or AC in the rooms ! And finally, the cleaning crew, early in the morning, greeting each other, laughing and joking, calling out to each other, at the top of their lungs !!!! Just what you want to hear after you spent the night in the courtyard evacuated by the fire department ! For all these issues and lack of accommodation, the new owners want to charge the same price as a 3 star hotel !!! Long story short, we'll never go back there and I absolutely NOT recommend it to anybody anymore, especially decent...
Read moreStayed here recently visiting Rosarito, one night. This hotel’s value is dependent on its price point; I paid $50 and was satisfied, but wouldn’t pay much more happily. Rooms are small and somewhat public, amenities minimal (please consider getting luggage racks for the rooms, they cost very little and create much more space). ||But the place is clean, efficiently run, no issues during my stay. It is loud in the morning, as noted below, but feel free to ignore previous warnings regarding the safety of the area and unsavory people and activities. I saw neither, mostly families and others on holiday, and felt the area was very safe. 10 min ride to downtown Rosarito, a cab will try to overcharge you coming back at night so best to use Uber if available. Also an easy 35-40 minute walk down the main road to same. ||Bodega next door has sundries and cold beer and water. ||Recommended if your...
Read moreThe WORST! hotel I have ever stayed in!! Avoid this place at all costs. The pool was "out of service" when we got there were people painting the building which made the room smell like nothing but paint! The people in the front office DO NOT care about you or the business you bring to them. The room is AWFUL! The beds are like sleeping on a piece of cardboard, TVs don't work, no phone but offer a "room service" menu. Oh the best part, is that while showering the shower turned off! They said it would take about an hour to fix. There is spiders in the rooms and I highly doubt they wash the sheets. Worst place ever. They ask to leave your key when you leave for your "security" lol...ZERO STARS...
