During our 3-day trip to Rosarito, we found ourselves at Tony’s Taco Place not once, but twice, drawn in by the allure of their mouthwatering tacos. Contrary to the typical fare we've come to expect in the USA, Tony’s offers something special. We indulged in all three varieties on offer: Shrimp, Fish, and Mushrooms, each one bursting with freshness and flavor that left us craving more.

What set Tony’s apart was not just the quality of their food but their willingness to accommodate our requests. They expertly customized our mushroom tacos with a variety of other veggies, catering to our specific tastes. Additionally, their capability to serve a large group of 20 without a hitch was truly impressive.

We had dinner next-door the night before and noticed Tony's as it was closing, so made a mental note to come back the next day for lunch. The proprietor, (who will I assume is Tony?) was very friendly and explained how they make everything fresh, from scratch in their modest little kitchen. We ordered the chips and guacamole to start and the guacamole was amazing. Some of the most tasty guacamole I’ve had in a while. That was followed by a trio of shrimp tacos, and mushroom tacos, which were also super tasty. No alcohol sales available, (he said they are working on getting a license), but right next-door at Kilometro 22 they have some great beers on tap. Just saw a Facebook post about this place and was hungry and had no dinner, I messaged them and they replied right away. Very accommodating and cordial. Ordered fish tacos, to my surprise they weren’t fried to death. They were grilled. Tasted healthy, tortilla was high quality, I ordered the spicy fish and it did not disappoint. It was served with mango salsa in a cute corn husk boat. Fish was transported in foil and was piping hot from the grill. It felt like it took them 5 mins to cook it and get it to me.
