Close to downtown, but impossible to stumble upon. It's up on a hill and you need your car or a taxi to get there, although it's only about a mile from Revolution Ave., but you don't want to walk believe me. Their menu is bare bones,... burgers and fries ONLY. Their burgers really do remind me of In-n-Out in their quality and presentation. You get your single or double burger w/cheese, leaf lettuce, diced white onion, a couple slices of tomato, and a couple of homemade pickle slices, along with a nice dressing (homemade also I think). They put it on a fresh Brioche bun and wrap it like In-n-Out does, it goes in a small tray, along with your order of Mommaz fries beside it. We order his 100 peso specials, that's about $5.50 in dollars. You get a full-on dressed burger, a LOT of fries on the side of the burger and a soda or water for the 100 pesos. If you are like me (an American), and you like your fries CRISPY -- you need to tell him when you order..... because I guess Mexicans like their fries less cooked and soft, I'm not exactly sure. But if you ask for crispy fries, you'll get 'em. They bring your food to your table, along with a small bottle of catsup, s & p, and napkins. Hot 'n Fresh is what I would call them! Owner takes your order and he makes sure his workers get it right. We live very close to them and have been there twice this week to eat lunch. They don't open 'till noon, and they close @ 8pm. They have Uber food moto's for delivery. Try this place if you like In-n-Out, I like them better than Carl's Jr,...and CHEAPER to boot for sure. I think I have about covered...
Read moreIn response to the owners comment. Yes it was on Saturday January 20th, we had tickets to see the candlelight performance at IMAC casa cultural. Our first show starts at 6pm. We got there around 5pm. Because I really wanted us to try the burgers. It was so salty, they didn't offer to redo it, even when we asked what the options were. We walked out, went across the street of IMAC order a coffee and sandwhich shop. We paid for 4 meals that day. And only enjoyed the one from the coffee shop. I will actually go and write a review on their service and sandwhich. We did t have enough time because out show was starting at 6.
That day was raining and cloudy. Maybe just maybe 🤔 it could of been because we are gay/queer. No se. My wife and i can come by and review the cameras with you. The review was written on that day and right aftwr it happened. This is a true review of our experience.
Beautiful atmosphere the place looks like a nice hang out.
Was excited to try the burgers... By 5pm they were out of the cilantro fries.
We got a #2 with hot mommaz fries and an order of chili cheese fries (American slices are better than nacho cheese).
The food loomed delicious.
However the fries and burger patties were extremely salty. To the Point that you can see the salt standing out the chili and the hot mommaz sauce.
My wife brought it to the staff attention and they laughed. I tried to eat at least one of the patties because I spent over 300 pesos.
My tongue feels like I licked sand and I have a headache.
This is not a place I will...
Read moreI’ve tried almost all the new up and coming burger joints in TJ and this one still stands apart.
Fantastic burger. Tj ground beef doesn’t taste like US ground beef I’ve noticed but this is the first place wheee their burger has a solid US ground beef taste. Seasoned well, good bite feel and taste. Definitely coming back. Loved the fries and all the options and best part was they had kool-aid. Miss a solid US...
