If you're ever in Tijuana and looking for a true gem, Los Albaniles Taco Shop is an absolute must-visit! This hole-in-the-wall spot packs an incredible punch with its huge tacos and quesadillas. Seriously, these tacos are double the size of your average street taco, which means double the flavor and satisfaction. Each bite is a burst of deliciousness!
I particularly loved the al pastor tacos—the meat was perfectly cooked, tender with just the right amount of char, and slightly crispy on the edges. Topped with fresh guacamole, it was an explosion of flavors that I can't get enough of. The balance of savory, tangy, and slightly spicy was spot on.
When you walk in, the first thing they offer you are fresh tortilla chips along with both green and red salsa to get your taste buds warmed up. Additionally, they serve a small bowl of zanahorias en escabeche. All perfect snacks to munch on while waiting for your main dish to arrive. And, of course, you can’t go wrong with washing everything down with an ice-cold Coca-Cola.
The ingredients here are as fresh as they come, and you can tell everything is made with love. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend Los Albaniles Taco Shop. You...
Read moreThis place south of the border is great for portions but lacks on that real taste us Mexicans are accustomed to. I was really looking forward to it since my dad and his compadre kept raging about it. Not everything was lacking for example the plate with cebollitas, chiles asados, and nopalitos was really good. I ordered a taco de cueritos which was pretty tasty but the chile relleno was made with mozzarella which is a huge no no in my books. Their consome and caldo de res were also on the better side of things as well as their aguas frescas. Maybe I expected too much from this Mexican joint especially since it was in Mexico and I highly doubt I will make another visit here unless pops...

Definetly, if you have a short travel to Mexico and for that means cross over to Tijuana for one day, this is the most real Mexico you can have!...not to forget to have your ride wash by hand in the premises for a few dollars while you enjoy a great Carne...
