The folks here were very friendly and the space was cozy and inviting, but the food was hit or miss. The arrechera was delicious, but the chorizo was dry and the asada was tough. The al pastor inexplicably had tons of onions. The limonada needed about 5 times more lime. The quesadillas were great.
I probably should have reconsidered this place after I visited the bathroom and had to ask the kitchen for soap because the bathroom had none.
Now I'm nursing an upset stomach that I very much hope doesn't turn into anything more. I am pretty sure it was the chorizo.
This restaurant has a lot of potential, both because of the location and the friendliness of the people working there. Here's hoping they can improve the food and perhaps clean up the space a little before the Maya Train opens and the town becomes flooded with tourists who will expect a lot more than is currently...

Even if they do not speak english very well they explained us everything from the menu etc..
