I was told they had a "box lunch" for those touring the ruins. So the night before, I made my order to a staff with a bored/unhelpful attitude. I was given a choice of 3 sandwiches: ham&cheese, mixta or a club all on Bimbo bread (the American name is Wonderbread or "balloon bread"). The club came with fries (for a portable lunch???). I didn't need a fried egg and several meats nor 3 pieces of bread, so picked the H&C. She said she could also give me fruit, but that was it. The next morning, when I picked it up, the fruit was in a giant styrofoam box (like for a complete dinner!) and the sandwich in a smaller one. Those d**n things don't stay closed and break easily. Plus I could barely fit them into my day pack. Turns out, the sandwich was mixto AND had 3 slices of toasted (now soggy) bread. The fruit-- watermelon and papaya-- was a disaster and spoiled by the hot sun (and the box was completely smashed-- only a plastic bag kept the juices from being all over the things in my pack). Everyone else had a simple (untoasted) H&C that was wrapped simply in foil. My soggy overloaded sandwich didn't look appetizing at all. The majority of people in the connected hotel are touring ruins and need lunches-- decent packing, food that can take the heat, and NO styrofoam would be great improvements. A sandwich, a piece of fruit (not chopped up and dripping juice), a bottle of water and a packet of cookies isn't hard. A torta style of sandwich would be more practical. A wrong order and disastrous fruit for 100 pesos (an excellent and ample lunch across the street was only 50 pesos). Ask your guide to provide lunch! You might have...

Also, they don't send the invoice automatically, you have to make phone calls to get it. Overall a good place if you want an empty belly and don't care much for flavor or...
