El Timon de Cancun — Restaurant in Cancún

We went there to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday because the restaurant was recommended as a place with good food, a nice view, and at a reasonable price. The service was ok, but when I told the server we were celebrating my sister's birthday, he took us to pick out food from their fresh catch bar (which apparently was several days old). Unfortunately, the lobster tail we selected was hard to chew and had little flavor, and the fish was almost uneatable because of all the fish bones in every bite. What was even worse is that the total bill came out to more than $500 for only three people, mainly because of the $360 dollar lobster tail. I get that we should have asked for price, but never in our wildest dreams did we think anything that bad would cost that much. The atmosphere was good, and the rest of the food was ok, but be sure to ask questions about price rather than simply taking the server's recommendations. El día de hoy visité el Timón de Cancún, cabe destacar que ya había estado ahí antes y mi primera experiencia no se compara en absoluto con el desastre de hoy. Fui con mi novio y pues como ya habíamos estado ahí antes ya sabíamos que íbamos a pedir, le pedimos a Esteban nuestro mesero designado de entrada un ceviche mixto y un guacamole, junto con dos limonadas una de agua natural c/ azúcar y la otra de agua mineral s/azúcar. Todo iba bien y pintaba para ser una cita perfecta, nos traen la entrada con las bebidas (un servicio de totopos que no eran tostadas sino de los totopos de bolsa), el guacamole nada mal pero el ceviche era más jitomate y cebolla que camarones, pescado y pulpo 🐙 ☹️ 😩. Muy triste, bueno acto seguido mi novio pidió una sopa de mariscos y yo unos spaghettis de camarones con salsa Alfredo. Llegó la sopa HIRVIENDO que literal no se podía ni comer y pues seguimos esperando los spaghettis, pasaron exactamente 40min desde que le llevaron la comida a mi novio y hasta que llegaron a la mesa solo porque en una de esos acercamientos que hizo el mesero le pregunté por mis spaghettis y con cara de asombro se fue a ver "que había sucedido", estaba super 😠 enfadada porque parecía que nuestro mesero se había olvidado de mí comida y aparte que casi no te dejan terminar de comer y ya te están quitando los platos. Al fin llegaron mis spaghettis y cabe destacar que no estaban tan mal pero tampoco excelentes, sin embargo ya estaba de muy mal humor como para ponerme a discutir con el mesero yo quería comer y ya irme. La verdad si van hambrientos no se los recomiendo, se tardan demasiado con los pedidos y aparte casi que te echan del sitio nada más que con la recogedera de platos, no me había acabado mi limonada y el mesero se acercó y se llevó el vaso. It looks very professional and nice restaurant, however the staff can speak in English really just a bit, therefore there were too many miscommunications.... Their menu is awesome, but many of the dishes they don't provide from it, for example plates for 2+ person, only individuals. Don't know their own menu, the dishes made by the restaurant, so at the end 3 waiters were needed to explain us 1-1 dish, or just to answer a simple question whether there is side included in the plate or we need to order additional.
