Tacos RIGO — Restaurant in Cancún

A review from a mexamerican, one that knows the american and the mexican taste buds.

Tacos Rigo are relatively famous in Cancun. They have 3 or 4 locations throughout Cancun. This is the type of places americans are looking for when they say they want a "mexican restaurant" to eat at.

They do have a large selection and offer beers as well, not sure about mixed drinks. They offer carnitas, al pastar, beef, chorizo, sudadero, etc.

I feel that them having so many items is part of why I don't like to eat there as much. I find their different dishes to be ok at best. I can't say I ever had anything that was bad enough that I couldn't eat, but I also can't say I ever had a taco there that felt it was just amazing.

If I want to eat carnitas I go to a place that offers nothing but carnitas. If I want to eat some good sudaderos (usually beefs head) I go to a place that only offers that. So the one advantage Tacos Rigos have is that if not everyone in the group wants to eat the same thing they do have many other options.

Now, do remember that when it comes to Mexican food I am much more pickier than the regular american. I would venture to say that most americans that do go there would say it is a good place.

This place is the bomb we were looking around to see what we could grab to eat unexpectedly we came across this place ohh my God it's delicious we had tacos de cabeza great portion on each tako and we also had the birria consome it was amazing as well we decided to make it our get go restaurant while staying in cancun even though we had a resort we would go eat here to enjoy there delicious food!will be coming...

Esta es la sucursal de Av Las Torres, x la 510. Nunca había parado ahí, pero ese día estaba buscando algo que no encontré, y de pronto vi el lugar, pensé Tacos Rigo es garantía, que puede pasar? Pues pasó que los meseros son bastante déspotas, nada serviciales. Les cuesta dar servicio, me llevaron una cuchara para unos frijoles charros, y la cuchara estaba sucia, tenía miel y dedos sobre la miel y todo el cuerpo de la cuchara. Pedí que la cambiaran y se puso serio y con cara de molesto me dijo que estaba limpia, le dije entonces, que viera bien la cuchara porque estaba mu dulce, a regañadientes la cambió pero tardó mucho tiempo, resultado frijoles frios. Habia pedido una torta de pastor también y me dispuse a comerla pero no habían traido limones, no salsas todavía, le pedí limones y dos tacos de suadero, que también llegaron helados.
