Jungla Maya Steak House Grill — Restaurant in Chiapas

We read some of the mixed reviews here and we’re curious towards our experience. The restaurant itself was a nice place. Food nothing special, but good portions and ok (a bit expensive for my taste, but that’s every where here in this area). However, when the bill came, the waiter read the dishes out loud to us instead of putting the bill on the table. He summed up the items we and then said it was 900. We asked to see the bill itself and then noticed there was a mojito on there, which we didn’t order and he failed to mention when summing up our items 😅😅. Then he added more then 15% tip by himself. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in the nearly 3 years in mexico. Service was terrible, had to ask 3 time for a glass of water, had to go hound the server for our appetizer. To be fair he applogized as they were just making the fresh chips. My wife’s meal came out 5 minutes before mine did. Her sauce on her over cooked chicken was cold, don’t know if it’s a thing or not but still ice cold sauce on your cooked food? Then to top it off I had the toughest fillet ever. NON VENITE QUI, FANNO PAGARE PIÙ DI QUELLO CHE CONSUMATE E NON VI MOSTRANO IL CONTO FINALE!!!!

Partiamo dicendo che eravamo solo in due e dopo si è aggiunto un altro tavolo di 4 persone quindi in sala eravamo in 6. Orario 20.00 pm. Abbiamo preso due acque, due caipirinha, una quesadillas e una t bone. Leggendo i prezzi sul menù erano più che fattibili…arriva il conto 955$ pesos messicani assolutamente più del dovuto. Chiediamo il menù per confrontare il prezzo finale, evidenzio che sullo scontrino c’era scritto solo il prezzo scritto al momento a penna e non il conteggio della nostra ordinazione. Il cameriere nota, un voltachiesto il menù di nuovo, che non ci tornavano i conti e mette le mani avanti dicendo che nel prezzo è stato aggiunto il servizio…adesso la domanda è ma quale servizio esattamente??? Non era scritto da nessuna parte e siamo in Messico da più di una settimana e non abbiamo mai riscontrato una cosa del genere. Poi parliamo del servizio! Non un sorriso, scocciati, acqua naturale non c’era solo frizzante alle 20 di sera di giovedì siete senza acqua naturale? Stavano a fissarti mangiare arrivando a togliere piatti e bicchieri mentre ancora stavamo consumando come a non vedere l’ora di farci alzare (allora quando ci siamo fermati con la macchina cosa siete venuti a fare a mostrarci il menu direttamente in macchina?) quindi ripeto ma quale servizio???? La mancia la lasciamo sempre volentieri ma in questo caso la presa in giro e il non voler mostrare il menu per confrontare il prezzo finale, aggiungendo i modi avuti…consiglio vivamente di EVITARE QUESTO...
