I ordered the guacamole for my appetizer, the steak arranchera, and the pollo frita. The steak was delicious and tender. The pollo was good, but they must fry them in the same cooking oil as the fish, because that's what the fried coating mildly tasted like. The breast fillet itself was fantastic and juicy. A brief note about the guacamole. I'm from Austin, Texas and have a decently high bar for what qualifies as "good guac". Their guac is what we would call "damn good guac". It was obviously made fresh when we ordered. The texture was creamy with small lumps of fresh avocado, and just enough lime juice. Perfect! Portions are large, so order carefully. Service was excellent. Go after dark, when it cools off. The dining is...
After a long day at the ruins we asked an officer where a good place to eat was he mentioned the only thing worth it in the area was "La Parrilla." We stopped in and were not disappointed! We had the appetizer sampler to start with the salsa sampler. I ordered the surf and turf shish kebabs aka alambres and my friend ordered the steak. Both were delicious but the alambres tasted like they were prepared by culinary angels. I STILL dream and catch myself thinking about the alambres. In fact that's what prompted me to write this review! I was going through my notes from my Mexico road trip in February 2021. The staff was very friendly and gracious. I though "queso doble crema" was exclusive to this region of Mexico and asked them for a bowl of it. I think the waitress saw me shamelessly scarf it down because when my shish kebab order came it had a heaping pile of the cheese on it. I stepped into the restroom and my friend alerted the staff that it was my birthday a few days ago. As soon as I sat down they brought out a cheesecake slice for my belated birthday. The food was fantastic but the service was impeccable. I will definitely find a...

The chicken fajita tasted like bami (and not in a good way) Kranky and uninterested waitress didn’t make up for it. Only the quacemole was ok, but not worth you...
