El Tragadero — Restaurant in Chihuahua

The staff was overly accommodating for our walk in group of party of 16. they assured that we were well-fed we had plenty of napkins plenty of drinks our food came out in a very timely manner there was not a meal cooked incorrectly our steaks were cooked as we requested.we were a very large party and we were very very very well attended to. we have eaten in Five Star Steakhouses in the United States that charge a hundred plus just for the steak and every other entree is 20 $30 for dried up potatoes and just so disappointing. Ambiance is not even worth the final price this was such an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere and the servers were amazing in their memory of having our drinks filled and refilled was amazing. Some of the members in our group were a little older and age so they took a little extra time to order but none-the-less our staff was so patient and had absolutely no problem and explaining the menu to them. They surprised Us by bringing out everybody's meal correctly to the person that ordered it as we all were ordering different steaks different cook steaks different cuts of steaks it was just such an amazing surprise the attention that 2 servers took care of such a needy large group of older people. This was my family half of them are American and their my aunts and uncles so they're a little older in age and you have to be patient with them but the servers were just so amazing and they took the time to take about 400 pictures with our cell phones because we haven't seen each other in a couple of years and they were just so pleasant it was amazing. Really disappointed on my last visit to this place. I am not even going to talk about the waiting times to get a table as we are used to it, but once in our table, there was only one waiter for the whole floor, and he was doing his best i could tell, but it was just too much work for one single person.

But the real unforgivable thing for a steak place is to miss on the steak term, I was there with my wife and daughter, my wife likes her steak well done but i don't. I asked for a medium rib eye, it took a while to get the plates and when they arrived, even the waiter had a hard time recognizing which one was which, the reason: both were well done!! This is disgusting, any steak house that doesn't make the requested steak term is just ruining the steak.

It was late and I couldn't afford waiting another half hour to get it done right, and also again I was there with my family so i just ate it like that, but i should have sent that back right away.

It's been some time since I've been here. But first thing, it seemed like they're short staffed. Our waiter was taking care about six tables at one time. That didn't help the service part. We had to keep asking for napkins and refills. Second I asked for a lemonaid and it was served in a platice cup, not good for the prices they are asking for. Our bill was $80.00 dollars for just two people. Last the quality of beef has greatly diminished. It was tasteless and felt that I can get a better steak at S-Mart.
