San Martín Cantina Tradicional — Restaurant in Chihuahua

It's a good restaurant, I'll explain why the 3 stars only.

Restaurant is nice and clean, awesome decoration, very cool vibe, great for couples, groups, families, etc. Inside and outside seating is available. Huge bar selections.

Food was so delicious, we all loved it. Plenty of food. Lots of left overs, and alcohol beverages were delicious also.

The reason why 3 stars is this: Our waiters name was Austin I believe!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to really inspect your check, and ALWAYS ask for your receipt and inspected.

Our waiter decided to add his own tip on the check and he did not want to tell us. When we asked him about our receipt so we could sign it, he was making excuses on why he couldn't bring it to us and that we should not worry about it. (BIG RED FLAG). We demanded our receipt, when he brought it to us, we noticed the tip he gave himself. Not a single once of shame from this guy.

Very dishonest waiter. So PLEASE, inspect your check, and ALWAYS demand your receipt.

Good environment but… really bad communication and resolution to consumer.. I came with family for lunch and ordered (Octopus Chicharrón) along with other appetizers and entries.. to make the long story short, Octopus Chicharrón came in too late after all meals were server and almost done with them… the waiter explained this behavior is typical of the restaurant for which meals most commonly come in asynchronous order.. I had appetite no more.. I expected a different answer … I ask to speak to the manager and he only acknowledged the issue and told me to come back, as eventually they will address this problem… nothing more… bad experience, no empathy to customer expectation and full lack of customer satisfaction orientation…. I will never come back and I will not make any good...

The 3 stars is for the drink, waitress service and mostly company. My girlfriend and I went for a chilax-chitchat girls night out on a Wednesday. I liked the drink, which was a techila/fresca/citrus cocktail in a cazuela. It has orange, lime and grapefruit slices which were right in their fresh and piont. We ordered some chamorro tacos but they got cold pretty quickly. There were like 15 or so, the meat was ok with some bones here and there but ok. There was a mariachi and northern group playing which was entertaining. Overall, the service was good and the ambience ok. The music was too loud for the girl's chitchat but there is a terrace far away from the main space, which could be an alternative if you want conversation without shouting.
