Casa Luna — Restaurant in Colima

This place was an absolute joke. Medicore food, comically bad service, amateurish atmosphere, and the servers came chasing us asking for a bigger tip. The view is nice but they're not even open early enough to see the sunset.

We were the first customers of the evening, with a reservation at 7pm. We were informed we could park on the street or valet it for "free" plus tip. The staff was disorganized so we decided to park on the street.

The restaurant was completely silent. After about ten minutes, music at a very high volume came on, continually interrupted by the notifications of the phone connected to the music, and the music kept skipping as the host phone presumably moved further from the Bluetooth range. This is straight up embarassing operationally for an expensive restaurant.

Once seated, I tried to order a red wine, and was informed there was none. My friend tried to order a beer, and we were told they weren't cold yet. I ended up with a rose and my friends ordered cocktails. We ordered a guacamole, and were told it would be at least a 20 minute wait because the chips weren't made yet. When the guacamole arrived, it was not good; it appeared to be a sort of cucumber salad, with very little avocado and very little taste.

Two cocktails came out and then our server asked if we wanted to order our entrees. I reminded her we were still waiting on two drinks. My friend asked about the specifics of the dish she was interested in, and the server assured her of what was included in the dish. Her dish came out before everyone else's, and it did not include one of the key elements she had asked about. A different server attended us and my friend asked about the missing side dish. The new server told us, "This menu isn't updated. That's not included anymore." So the first server was a) misinformed or b) dishonest, and most certainly works under incompetent management.

When my dish arrived, it was also missing a key ingredient. The rosemary arrachera contains no rosemary, and has no sear. It looked unappetizing. It tasted ok, but was not impressive, and was overpriced.

I ordered a second rose and it was underpoured by Server #2. Fed up, one of my friends decided to ask again about the availability of red wine by the bottle. Server #2 came back with a cheap convenience store wine (200 pesos at Oxxo or 7-11, 600 pesos here), and struggled to open it. He did not taste my friend on the wine and gave us all unequal pours.

At this point, a valet appeared to interrupt our meal. He told us we had to valet our vehicle for "free"....plus his tip.

When the time came to pay the bill, we did it with two cards. The first cardholder to pay informed Server #2 that we would be paying with two cards, and they would be leaving their tip in cash. After charging the first card, Server #2 abstentmindedly walked away. We could have just left but we flagged him down to pay the remainder. Server #2 walked away again and then Server #1 came rushing over to our table demanding to see the tip from the first transaction.

Truly horrible. Don't waste your money or time here. This place is way too expensive for what you get, and there are plenty of other vistas...

ESTAFAAAAAA FAKEEEEEEE !!!! No sé por dónde empezar 🤢🤮 que lugar taaaan aburrido! Por Dios son 3 palos con dos bocinas colgadas y unas luces de shein, el disque Dj q bárbaro desde Principio a fin no cambió su mismo sonsonete que ni ritmo tenía no podías ni moverte porque atascan el lugar ni sillas tienen reservamos y al llegar salieron con q para poder entrar forzosamente teníamos que comprar una botella aparte de habernos cobrada la entrada como si fuera un verdadero antro jajaja la verdad esq toda la noche nos estuvimos riendo de todos nosotros y los q estaban ahí dentro nadie bailaba solo tomaban foto para sus redes como si la estuvieran pasando bien sin Embargo todos con sus caras largas porque no había ambiente y ni espacio para bailar si mide 7x7m es mucho ahí meten mesas con dos sillas cada una y párate donde puedas jajaja esperen falta lo mejor, a mi amigo le rentaron un encendedor en $100 la renta! No mms nos prestaron 2 caballitos y nos la hicieron de pedo los meseros que uf lo difícil que fue conseguirlos querían cobrarnos hasta x eso, la botella de tequila 3 veces su valor! Conclusión una estafa redonda ni la vista wey porque tanta gente que meten a tan pequeño lugar que no te dejan ver nada, y no hay nada q ver jajaja...

Aquí no habrá noche profunda, ya que cierran a las 02 am, y son puntuales. El lugar es muy bonito y pequeño, con una gran vista. Pero tiene sus grandes "peros"; el primer gran Pero, en su publicación dice que no hay Cover, y si hay, 200 damas y 400 varones, para que lo considere. El segundo, aparece un número para reservar que nunc contestaron, y al llegar te piden la reservación, para el caso nuestro, nos permitieron ingresar hasta su terraza, con la condición de que nos permitirían entrar una vez pasados unos minutos en lo que acomodaban algunos asistentes al lugar, nunca sucedió, pero la verdad no fue necesario, la vista de la terraza, su excelente sonido y una coctelería decente, nos mantuvo ahí, hasta el cierre. Pero no deja de haber mentira y descortesía. No hay rigor en la vestimenta, ya que básicamente es un espacio que básicamente le da servicio a los huéspedes del hotel adjunto. La música del DJ en turno fue buena y fue motivo para seguir tomando en la terraza. Los precios son altos y más si lo suman al costo...
