El Social — Restaurant in Colima

Our visit to this hidden gem in Manzanillo during a stop on our Holland America cruise turned out to be a delightful discovery. As first-time visitors to the area, our goal was to explore a bit and find a spot for a refreshing drink and perhaps a snack.

The weather was hot and humid, prompting us to seek a place with indoor seating. After a bit of wandering and checking out some local shops, we stumbled upon this charming establishment tucked away from the bustling main road. The warm greeting we received upon entering set the tone for a welcoming atmosphere, and we opted to take a seat at the bar.

Within minutes of taking our seats, we were pleasantly surprised with a selection of snacks. Our order for a Mezcal flight and a Corona beer was promptly taken, and as we waited for our drinks, another round of snacks arrived – this time, a plate of fresh fruit.

Despite having recently enjoyed a meal on the cruise ship, we couldn't help but notice the items on the menu and the dishes being served at nearby tables. The vibes were inviting, the service great, and maybe a spot worth revisiting...

Estas en el centro de este tropical, paradisíaco puerto y buscas un lugar para echar una buena chela, puedes llegar a este bar que ha sido historico y un hogar de ilustres personajes locales, solo que debo darle 4 de 5 estrellas, por que todo está para pasarla bien, solo que en una opinion personal, la música, es lo que le resta estrellas, claro si buscas escuchar lo habitual, puedes intentar disfrutar de una chela, el sonido es muy alto y quizas no es la mejor opción para conocer variedad, pero en cervezas no quedan mal, no pidas lo habitual, puedes encontrar variedad en cervezas artesanales (cervecería Colima se hace presente), los dejo con está imagen de una de mis cervezas favoritas para este clima, ideal para disfrutar la tarde en la barra con una excelente ubicación para disfrutar de ese rosado atardecer que solo se da en esta parte...

We ordered mojitos and they were great! You get complimentary popcorn while you wait for your order. The atmosphere is lively and the service is good. Mostly regional Mexican music is what is played. The prices are a little higher than the local prices but still...
