Applebee's Ensenada — Restaurant in Ensenada

I am a frequent visitor of applebee's in California so when I went to Ensenada I had to try applebee's here.

Besides the language differences the menu is similar. They do not have draft beer and do not have voodoo ranger IPA but I expected that. They did have a bottled IPA which was ok, I think the name was Agua Mala, bad water.

The service is great and price was reasonable for what I'm used to.

What really made the place shine was that this applebee's had live music! It was a duet band that played so many good hits! The band was amazing and made me wish applebee's in California had live music too!

I made sure to take plenty of videos and even a picture of their business card because they play here every week!

I wish I could come back to this applebee's because this is what really set it apart, and made my visit that much more wonderful!

If it wasn't for the band I probably would just have had 1 beer and left but instead I stood all night and had food as well!

Worst Applebee’s I’ve been in my life, and I’ve been visiting Applebee’s for the last 15 years... came here a year ago and the chicken was stale and flavorless... attention was bad and the “ambience” was dark and depressing. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe I got the one bad batch of chicken... but this time was not better, we came in and had to wave our arms at the waiters for them to come bring us the menus, then the food was just “ok”... My sirloin didn’t look like it, the bread was “doughy”... my boyfriend’s pasta was overcooked... and again, what’s up with the cheap pub lighting? One of the benefits of eating at a franchise is that you know what to expect... it might be a good idea to send the waiters, cooks and owners visit other Applebee’s...

Visito con frecuencia el restaurante y siempre me he llevado una muy buena experiencia e impresiones agradables, tanto del consumo como del servicio de las personas que ahí laboran.

Nunca me había tocado ir en miércoles y hoy me enteré, por la mesera que me atendió, que había una promoción, por lo que directamente, casi insistentemente me preguntó si buscaba la promoción. No sé si mi ignorancia de la misma le molestó, pero le pregunté en qué consistía tal promoción. No se veía animada, sin embargo me dió la respuesta y sinceramente no le entendí, por lo que le pedí me repitiera un par de ocasiones.

Bueno, la promoción es un buffet de boneless y costillitas, todo lo que puedas comer por 200 pesos. La situación aquí es que cada que deseas más comida, tienes que pedirla de nuevo, son porciones pequeñas y ahí me quedaba esperando hasta que la mesera se dignara a atenderme de nuevo (tanto para volver a pedir+la espera del nuevo plato), mientras que meseros que atendían mesas aledañas, siempre estuvieron bien atentos en lo que le pudiese faltar a otros comensales.

En conclusión, el servicio fue malísimo, la actitud de la mesera, escudada en que estaba muy ocupada (de acuerdo con lo que una compañera de ella me dijo), fue fatal. La misma compañera terminó resolviendo el problema atendiendo mis pedidos, pero entre pedidos de la famosa promoción (que sólo hice 2) la espera fue larga y técnicamente abandonaba nuestro servicio, no estaba atenta pues. Incluso hasta la cuenta tuve que pedirla a la misma mesera que atendía a comensales vecinos.

Lo peor y para cerrar con broche de oro, tardaron hasta +20 min, si no es que mas, para cobrarnos y todo por que me levanté a solocitar que porfavor me cobraran. Lamentable el servicio de esta mesera llamada Dana, de acuerdo con el ticket.

Por último, pero no menos importante, quiero comentar que los boneless y las costillas son muy buenas. Y sobre todo, es importante destacar que el problema no fue el lugar como tal, el cual repito, he visitado en diversas ocasiones. Era como que esta persona no deseaba hacer ese trabajo, abrumada y desanimada. Espero...
