Bret&Zel – das Leben meinte es gut mit mir

Es gibt Momente, da weiß man: Das Leben hat es gerade verdammt gut mit einem gemeint. So ein Moment war, als ich den Pan Austriaco bei Bret&Zel probierte. Außen knusprig, als hätte eine Symphonie der Brotkunst ihren Höhepunkt erreicht, innen so weich, dass ich dachte, ich könnte es als Kopfkissen mitnehmen. Und der Geschmack? Ein kleines Gedicht. Subtil, buttrig, mit einer Note, die irgendwo zwischen “Alpenfrische” und “Kindheitserinnerung” pendelt – wie ein Gruß aus der Heimat.

Und dann kam das Toastbrot. Einmal im Ernst: Wer macht das noch selbst? Bret&Zel schon. Kein Industrieschmarrn, kein fades Weißbrot. Hier steckt Liebe drin, und das schmeckt man. Kombiniert mit Käse und Schinken wird daraus kein schnödes Sandwich, sondern ein echtes Fest für die Sinne. Die butterweichen Scheiben, der zart schmelzende Käse, der saftige Schinken – alles fügt sich so perfekt zusammen, dass ich beim ersten Bissen kurz die Augen schließen musste, um es richtig zu genießen.
