Tacos "El Paisa II" — Restaurant in Guanajuato

After hearing and reading so many great things about these tacos, as many claim them to be the best in Guanajuato, I was somewhat disappointed after getting to try them.

They were not terrible, but they also were not amazing. I would say they are some of the most average tacos I have had while in Mexico. It felt like everything was lacking a bit in flavor, from the meat to the salsas they brought me to the table. It simply was not very good.

One thing I did enjoy was how FAST the service was. I mean as soon as you order, they will bring the food to your table pretty much within the next minute or two. I was actually very surprised by this but also found it pleasant.

I dined in because I do not like to take these to go but that was a bit of a mistake because they had me sit all the way in the back of the restaurant where it was really stuffy and hot.

One thing that I also liked here was the price of the food. I found it to be very fair and worthwhile as many other places in the city would have...

While in Guanajuato, bypass the tourist-centric eateries and make a beeline for this spot offering genuinely delightful tacos! The service is exceptional, and the food is a revelation! Our order included pastor tacos, boasting tender and flavorsome meat. Additionally, we opted for a plate of bistec accompanied by a hearty portion of chorizo, beans, grilled onions, avocado, and tortillas. Crafting our own bites was a delight, each one leaving me yearning for another taste. This place guarantees zero...

There's a reason why there's 2 in the name of this place and I'm guessing it's because it's so good and successful, they had to buy/rent the next place to accommodate the people eating there because wow.

If you are ever in Guanajuato, you need to eat here. You will not be disappointed. I recommend that suadero because it was just so satisfying, the meat almost melts in your mouth and every bite will make you just say "mmm, this is good". It was very hard for me to find one that matched this taco...
