This was probably our 15th or 20th visit and we ordered the Coco fish and the Atun steak. I'm assuming that they sold the business to somebody since there was such an extreme lack of quality on the seafood. Both my wife and I traded the fish and neither fish was edible. It was hard and dry. The lady who was overseeing the waiters came out. Apologize said there was a change in vendors for the fish. They were not going to replace the fish. We return the plates with less than 25% of the fish consumed. Unfortunately, we've got some really good memories at the place. However, for spending a thousand pesos, you really need to watch where you're spending your money these days. One thing to add to this review is how can a resturant with the pick of the best fish in Mexico end up with rubber from overcooking. Since this review we visited Mario Canario and it is what Paititi was. The bill from the Paititi was $1,050mn for...
Read moreThis place is very Expensive, a plate of shripms 320 pesos! (The Bufalo Corazon) And not only that the service was really disappointing. A fly fell into my drink (a sangria), I asked nicely to the waiter if he could please change it, He returned with a almost empty glass saying, this is the new one, and showing me another one without the fly, what they did was change it with the amount of drink that I had in the glass instead of giving me a new drink. For such an expensive place that was the lowest that has ever happened to me in any restaurant that I have eaten. It's well decorated however the price is really high. Give yourself a favor and try el Barquito Restaurant like a half a mile away, which is delicious and not as expensive...
Read moreEven though we don’t speak Spanish, our waiter (who did not speak English nor French) was very patient with us. He answered questions to the best of his ability and Google Translate’s ability. For instance, he warned my girlfriend that an appetizer she wanted to order was very spicy, etc The food was great, the menu is varied and the plates are copious. (My belt took a hit and there was no room for dessert). Last night, a Saturday, the place was full but there was no waiting line. There were quite a few people from Quebec, probably having farewell dinners before flying back home next week at the end of the season. The majority of patrons were local. Prices...
