Birriería Chololo Campestre — Restaurant in Jalisco

This place a horrible. if i could give -5 stars i would! Only good thing was maybe the food. We came all the way from San diego and on a family vacation. We were a pretty big group (about 32 of us). You would think with a big grp like that you would have about 2 or maybe 3 waiters. welp Nope. 1 Horrible waiter and a helper whom didnt communicate.. 1st problem: they took forever to take our order. they took a long time to bring out our food missed about 1/4 of order and never brought it out and we kept asking. never brought the few drinks ordered therefore we had nothing to drink with our order. and when everything was brought to their attention bcuz of course we complained to their manager they wanted to still argue that it was only 2 waiters. Keep on mind that other parties around us were being served very promptly, because i was keeping an eye out on it.

but of course when it came time to bring the check, they charged EVERYTHING. and i told them i was not paying for a drink and food they never brought. and still the waiter wanted to sit there and argue with me about it. he thought because he finally brought the drink and Extra one at no charge we were going to pay. i said no, i deducted what was never brought and left! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND NEVER AGAIN. which is very unfortunate because this place came highly recommended and from the food we did get to taste it was good.

p.s. the server had the nerve to say next time well be better. i told him there will not be...

Meh!!! This place is huge! It's a nice pretty spot in the middle of nowhere... The staff was so so. The waitress who served us was definitely lacking in a whole lot of places I dont know how she got that job. Had to ask her more than three times for things and she kept on bringing things one at a time. Things never really complimented each other. The FOOD!! The birria was less than stellar. It did not live up to the hype. La casuela with the tequila was good although I never had one before so I didn't really have a point of reference. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. The parking lot was ample but too much dirt. The mariachi there that day was like a 5 out of 10 they couldn't sing nor play too well. In conclusion I two starred this place because of the food and the waitress which are in a desperate situation to rethink...

To start with we were directed to a spot to park by an attendant and as he directed the person out of the parking space so we could have the parking space, it took quite some time and in the meantime, another car came up and took our spot as the other car exited the space. The attendant should have explained to him that we had waited patiently for the spot and told them to go to another location. Instead they directed us to another location that was quite a ways away. Now to dinner, they brought the meat and it was a plate of fat with a couple of small prices of meat. It was over $50.00 US and I was quite disappointed by what I paid and what I received. To not leave things on a totally bad note, the atmosphere was nice and the person who attended...
