Chili's — Restaurant in Jalisco

My first time eating at a Chili’s restaurant at the airport. It was definitely busy, pretty much all tables were full and servers were all over the place. We arrived at Chili’s around 3pm. Hostess led us to a table with no wait time. Our server (forgot her name) greeted us immediately and took our drink orders. We were initially indecisive, but figured we better have something substantial to eat because our flight would be taking off in 4 hours. It’s between airport food or plane food ;)

Our server never checked in during our 2 hour stay. She didn’t even ask if there was anything that we needed… it’s those typical “server questions” to ask their customers. She wasn’t mean or unprofessional, she was just bare minimum. In fact, when we did need something, we had to ask two other servers which all could have been prevented had she asked questions first. The place was still busy.

Our meals were good. Portioning was good and price was fair. I loved my Sante Fe salad. The chicken was delicious and tender. Drinks were also good. Someone had ordered a dish with tortillas. When the flour tortillas arrived, they were sticky and torn inside the foil. The cook should have noticed this. Nonetheless, another batch was requested while the damaged ones were returned. No questions asked.

Chili’s Restuarant was a good choice overall. Especially when uncertain about which restaurant to go to at Guadalajara airport. The name was familiar to my traveling group and I. Our meals hit the spot and so did the margaritas.

Food was ok. But our waiter was bad. He told us during our meal the card machine wasn’t really working and would be easier to use cash or pesos. We kind of believe it but then we started seeing other waiter using the card machine we became suspicious. We ask to pay with card he said the machine still acting up but it should work if you use American Express cause that kind of card been working. We thought what are the chances that everyone else we see paying with card had American Express. When he left to get the card machine he went a different way than the other waiter we’re going to grab the card machine. We used the card machine he had and what do you know decline. Told him let me use another card. Told me it probably won’t work and I said let’s just try it and what do you know it work. Thinking he did something before coming to our table to make it decline but couldn’t do it a second time as we were present. Seem like a shady place that they probably want the cash...

My wife and I stopped here to have dinner before we headed home. We took a light flight back home and hopped to have a fairly decent meal. This was not the case here at Chili's. The food and service were some of the worst I've ever had at chili's. Once you see the photos, you will understand. Cold food overcooked been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I would have gotten better food off a street taco truck in Guadalajara. I can only say the manager made our day by removing the price of the food because it was not edible. Thank you to...
