The Best Hidden Gem in Puerto Vallarta — Authentic, Affordable, and Full of Heart ❤️

I’ve been living in Puerto Vallarta for a year, and hands down this is one of the best local food experiences I’ve ever had. Their seafood — especially the aguachile and ceviche — is unbelievably fresh and full of flavor. You can taste the authenticity in every bite.

The prices are super affordable, the quality is top-tier, and the service is as genuine as it gets. Everyone here is warm, kind, and welcoming — they speak both English and Spanish, and they make you feel like family the moment you walk in.

I actually asked them if I could pay to learn a few of their recipes, and instead, they invited me into their kitchen, taught me hands-on, streamed the lesson on Facebook, gave me a shirt and apron, and refused to take any money until I insisted. That’s the kind of people they are.

Hace tiempo que quería conocer este lugar, por tanto mis expectativas eran altas por las recomendaciones. Así que ampliaré mi opinión: La porción de los platillos no es grande pero empata con el precio, pedí un aguashimi, el cual tenía buena presentación y buen sabor. Las salsas que tienen en la mesa, les da un toque de sabor y picante a la comida, que la complementa perfecto. Tuve una situación con la cerveza (las latas estaba golpeadas, por tanto la cerveza sabía mal y sin gas)sin embargo, el mesero se disculpó y nos las cambió. El sashimi de atún estaba rico, pero había partes como de grasa que no retiraron y por tanto era difícil comerlo, y no debería servirse en un sashimi así. Pedí un consomé, que me llegó en un vaso de unicel. Pensé que porque estaría muy caliente, pero no fue así. Entonces recomendaría mejorar la presentación, un vasito de vidrio, bien servido tal vez coronado con aguacate para disfrazar el camarón que venía adentro, le hacía falta más sabor y se me hizo poco para el precio. ($50). Mejorar la calidad del servicio, nos traía todo por partes (el platillo, los platos, no nos llevaron cubiertos y teníamos que pedir tostadas porque tampoco nos las acercaron a la mesa).

En general, la ubicación es buena, había un mesero que empatizaba como los comensales lo cual les da puntos a favor. La comida es buena, tal vez esperaba más, pero...
