Great service, all staff are friendly and exude good vibes. Professional and delicious coffee drinks, Carajillo in particular was great. The food was excellent every time we went, Eggs Benedict was lovely with good homestyle hash browns, Ruby's breakfast has eggs with a ring of crispy baked feta around them and even simple baked goods like cinnamon buns are quite tasty as well.

On the side, the store also sells large sourdough loaves of bread at a reasonable price as well as bagels on certain days (Thursday for us).

Most times we went they have had an excellent guitarist/singer playing on the side which adds a very nice ambience to your meal.

Lastly, the bathroom is very clean...

Christian, the proprietor and barristo, welcomes customers and makes small talk in Spanish, English and French. Excellent coffees and pastries, breakfasts and light lunches. Comfortable seating and smooth jazz makes this a great place to spend time alone or with friends. 2022 Update—The cafe has become busier post-Covid, but Christian, with the help of baristos Roberto and David, and waiter Cesar, has managed to keep it friendly and chill. Live soft music most mornings. Furnishings have been updated and menu items added. Coffee is easily the best in Melaque. Try the breakfast potato and the breakfast sandwich....

Love this place. Comfortable seating with shade so you don't bake sitting outside. The barista knows her coffee and is quick and accurate. We've had the pleasure of eating breakfast lunch and dinner here..on different days, haha..and it's all good. My favorite is the grilled cheese on sourdough. Simple and delicious. The breakfast potato is good too. All the breakfast items are actually. The cinnamon buns are delicious....
