I've never experienced such a disappointing hospitality experience while traveling. Never visit this beach club. Cute in Instagram pics, but horror in customer service. For easier reading, I've listed the issues below.
Starting with the most important. You are NOT allowed to leave the beach until ALL tables have paid. To clarify, the 10+ tables of strangers that are also there with you? You're not allowed to leave until everyone closes out their bills This is an issue if you're expecting to get back to PV in time. Mahajuitas will prioritize getting additional $ from other groups and does not value the time you have to get back to PV This was not communicated to our group and told to us after nearly 2 hours of missing our transport boat
If you're looking to pay the bill seamlessly, that is not the case here. The management team let us know that their "computers went down" meaning, they're not able to calculate your bill totals and are manually adding your bill with different slips of papers from the service staff. My group spoke to some staff members and this contact let us know that this issue allegedly happens pretty frequently.
Arrival time is after 14:00 each day since the pick-up time from PV is midday. If you're looking to get sun or party on the beach, you will barely get any time in the sun. The beach does not get a lot of sun altogether.
Service staff got food orders wrong
If you're expecting a bi-lingual staff like in the main parts of PV. This is not the case at Mahajuitas. I would recommend you're either semi-to-advanced with your Spanish speaking skills
If you're looking for an adult get-a-way experience, this is not the place. There were two large groups of kids
If you're motion sick from boats, the journey is a rough experience
Overall, this negative review boils down to being over 2 hours late on returning back to PV and lack of communication from their staff. Really disappointing experience. Save your money and go to a...
Read moreI had high expectations for Majahuitas Beach Club (Saturdays), but it turned out to be an absolute rip-off. Everything is wildly overpriced—beers are 120 pesos, cocktails over 200 pesos, and bottles around 4000 pesos. The worst part? The food situation is a joke.
We arrived at 3 PM with the official boat, and the only food option was a basic buffet for a ridiculous 800 pesos. The selection? Ceviche, grilled chicken, arrachera, and hamburgers—nothing special. But here’s the catch: the buffet closes at 5 PM, and if you eat early, you can’t go for another round later. So much for an “all-you-can-eat” buffet.
After 5 PM, there was NO food available until after sunset (around 8 PM is when we got the dinner menu). When food was finally available, the only option was tacos. And not just any tacos—tiny, basic street-style tacos that you can get anywhere for 60 pesos the plate of three. Here? A plate of three tacos was a scandalous 400 pesos.
To make things worse, you’re stuck there for hours with no other options. Half of our group refused to eat or drink anything besides water because it’s just not worth it. Since there’s no way to leave until the boat takes you back to Vallarta, you’re essentially forced to consume at these insane prices.
Honestly, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ll never go back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values...
Read moreEnjoyed every moment spent at Majahuitas, including the boat ride there and back. A fun time from beginning to end for sure. Arriving there is magical. The natural setting is breathtaking and the tasteful decor adds to the experience while blending in with nature. The mature trees and plants that canopy the whole area are magical. So many areas where you can choose to be away from it all if you are able to stop dancing! All the DJs were awesome on our visit on February 15th. Specially the headliners at the end. Staff is great. They were always around when we need them. Drinks took a little bit of time but were good. The food was simple but good, with the exception of the French fries which were as hard and dry as wood sticks. They had a passion fruit salad dressing that was incredible. We ate around 5:15pm though and the beef and dessert were already gone. A relative booked our tables that were set with water, bottles of liquor, beer and tonic so I don’t know how much he spent. But the extra drinks ordered by everyone came up to $46 per person for 11 of us. Overall, I didn’t want the night to end!!! It...
