We found this place by using Google Maps and because of previous reviews we headed here in an Uber. The restaurant is located in a local residential neighborhood north of PV airport. No one here speaks English which just adds to the authenticity of the place. They do have a menu in English though. We ordered a house salad with local cheese and also a grilled beef platter with cactus, pot beans and fresh guacamole. Both dishes were delicious. The beef was so tender and tasty. The guacamole was perfection on a plate. They make their own fresh tortillas from dough right there and serve them straight off the grill to your table. This was one of the best and most authentic Mexican meals we had during our stay in PV. Staff are wonderful and Google translate bridges the language barrier. As always, the service was prompt, genuine, and absolutely world-class. Ruben, in particular, was thoughtful, attentive, and fast — the kind of service that makes you feel like family.
The food? Simply explosive in flavor. My husband’s Saturday morning Menudo and Café de Olla were comforting and rich. I had the Chilaquiles Verdes paired with a perfectly crispy and cheesy quesobirria “compa” and a large, fresh Agua de Coco — every bite balanced and full of soul, with the chile hitting that perfect sweet spot.
