Wow! What a meal! After a week at a lovely all inclusive in Playa del Carmen, we asked everyone what their favourite meal was. 3 of 5 family members said the Cochinita Pibil we got here on our way home from Chichen Itza!

The refried beans were so smooth and tasty - better than any I've ever had in Canada and the tortillas and salsa before the meal were so fresh.

The atmosphere was so incredible and authentic, I feel like we experienced the real Mexico, even if just for an hour. They were patient with our limited Spanish and kind helping us with the menu - we tried a little of lots of things but loved the eggs inside steamed tortillas, the poc chuc and of course, the cochinita.

A huge lunch for our family of 5, plus our guide and driver, came to 1500 MXN (including beer and kids drinks/coconuts, appetizers, tax and...

Everything here was excellent! So glad we chose to try this restaurant.

Food: The beef poc-chuc was so tender and delicious. One of my highlights after eating through 3 cities in Mexico. It’s one of those dishes where both a food connoisseur and a picky eater would enjoy. Mango drink was also great.

Value: Portions are generous and the prices are lower than the big cities.

Service: Our server was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations.

Location: 15 minutes from Chichen-Itzá on the way to Cancun. Perfect place to grab food before or after seeing the landmark. Free parking, and a souvenir shop...

If you're driving between Valladolid and Chichen Itza this is a solid place for food. We didn't check the restroom so I can't comment on that.

So delicious, I had the conchinita pibil and my wife had breakfast for lunch. Both plates came with rice and beans but the black beans are pureed. They gave us corn tortillas with butter and guacamole with chips to start.

When the food came we had more tortillas and I loaded up mine with a little of everything on my plate. Food was excellent, beers were cold,...

A perfect spot for lunch when returning from chichen itza. Delicious home made food, with a genuine feel that the nearby tulum/cancun area has lost. Highly recommend. The waiter suggested we try the poc chuc with pork and it was so good! Many portions are large and they give you tortillas with dips to start so be mindful of over ordering. Super cheap as well, we paid 450 pesos for two and couldn't finish the food. Lovely service.
