Catalina Bakery — Restaurant in Mérida

Located right behind the band shell of parque De Las Americas in Merida Yucatan, Catalina has some of the best food and beverages I've ever had. Certainly their Pizza is the greatest! I ordered a pizza margarita with additional chicken breast and portobello mushrooms, and was very pleasantly surprised. The pizza was great with amazing crust and sauce, and very generous toppings. I would say the best pizza in Merida.

The owner, Anwar, and all the staff that I met were really cool, very accommodating, very friendly, and fun to talk to, in both Spanish and English. Don't leave without saying hi to Ismael and Humberto!

They also have a great selection of beverages, with some very interesting ones. They have a beet juice and a carrot juice drink that is amazing, very refreshing, super delicious, a must try!

Make sure to try some of their wonderful desserts, whether it's cookies, or croissants, or maybe even something bigger like their delicious...

Meh. No menu so I have no idea what they even offer. I had a coffee (Americano) and a chocolate croissant (chocolatín). So nothing that makes this a stand out. The location is cute across from the park but otherwise underwhelming. Also watching the person who seemed like the owner fawn over ladies was kinda um... A turn off. Recommendations to the staff: get a menu either digital or paper, having a waiter ask me what I want and then name random things off is not what most people want from a restaurant experience. Being able to see the full food/drink offered will ultimately result in better sales for you. Also keep interpersonal relationships out of public sight. It's 2022. Boundaries should...

La verdad si me gustó, creo que le daría cuatro estrellas de cinco, simplemente por el hecho del menú que no existe, aunque un menú reducido lo prefiero a un menú excesivamente extenso LO BUENO: está Super bien ubicado, es una casona antigua justo enfrente de unos de las secciones del parque de las Américas, por lo tanto tiene un mundo de espacio para estacionarse, mucha área verde, mucha sombra, en general un ambiente muy agradable. El lugar en si está muy bonito, muy bien arreglado y decorado. La comida es muy rica, bastante bien preparada, y el pan, 🥐 qué decir, definitivamente es su especialidad. El café igual en su punto Yo pedí unos huevos benedictinos que venían acompañados de un croissant 🥐 , o era más bien como un sandwich de huevos benedictinos, (en la presentación) no es queja, simplemente me resultó curioso, pero la verdad es que la combinación es muy buena, de hecho yo pregunté si venía con Pan y me dijeron que no, normalmente los huevos benedictinos se sirven sobre una rebanada de pan, pero bueno nuevamente, no es queja y la verdad es que la combinación me encantó, además venía con un side de ensalada de cuatro tipos de lechuga. Pedí además un tipo pan brioge que estaba relleno de crema de café, buenísimo, la verdad es que todo se conjugó bastante bien LO MALO: no hay menú, es mas una panadería y cafetería, por el momento, que restaurante, y no digo que no haya menú como algo malo, de hecho se siente como un brunch del día, en el cual los menús van cambiando a diario, no lo veo mal, y si eso es la idea pues me parece bastante buena. No abren los lunes EN GENERAL: muy bueno, muy recomendable, y muy bonito, está apto para muchas cosas, desde venir por un café rápido, hasta traer tu laptop sentarse en la terraza, y trabajar horas mientras disfrutas muy...
