This place was just okay. We were off to a rough start upon arrival. I had made a reservation (for Valentine’s Day) 3 weeks in advance and they put us in the most unappealing corner so close to the bar like it was an after thought. When I requested another table they had told me all the tables had been reserved but people had requested specific locations…regardless don’t put people under the bar in a corner. They moved us downstairs in the very chilly room so overall the restaurant is beautiful but we didn’t really get to enjoy the ambiance we had hoped.

The food was tasty but not great. The miso ramen was bland (egg way over cooked) and the teriyaki chicken lacked sauce and flavor. It was strange to get such dry teriyaki. The gozya were likely my favorite as were the edemame. But the portions were all very small. For two apps and two mains we left satisfied but expected to have leftovers. The lychee martini was delicious albeit unconventional with ice cream instead of just liquor.

The service was painfully slow. Even though the restaurant was hardly full since we came at 6-7. We actually had to go find our waiter to pay. Very strange.

Anyway, it is a beautiful place (if you know you have to reserve specific tables) but it’s once again another disappointing attempt...

Horrible service. The waiter ignored me and my date. We were slightly under dressed, and he must offl thought we were going to waste his time. He ended up wasting ours llby discrimaring against us. After they sat us down, I watched him greet and take 2 other drink and food orders and then still went and stood by the bar chatting with the bartender. When I forced eye contact with the bartender her finally told the server to come over. I told him what I saw and thought about it. He acted fake and proceeded to go get the beers I ordered. When he came back, he slammed them down while trying to stare me down. If I wasn't on a date, I might have actually acted much worse, but instead, I just left with my date to and even better establishment down the street. I'm never going to this location again. I travel often, and I have a pretty wide network of remote worker friends whom I will pass this tip off to.

If you hate your job, quit. Don't discriminate. Before I found the career I have now, I spent 10 years in the service industry. With proper service, he could have easily gotten 30-40% tip...

Went to the El Arbol location and the vibe and atmosphere is super cool and chill but unfortunately we were seated upstairs in the glass area which felt the opposite of the atmosphere in the main restaurant. I was really disappointed that we weren't seated in the main restaurant, although there were many open tables not being used. I'm assuming because we didn't have any reservations. They seated us upstairs. Before I keep going on and on about this issue which really wasn't that big of a deal. But nonetheless, the food was really good which is the most important part.

Chigue ramen : this was a very tasty and excellent dish Mars roll - amazing roll with high quality ingredients.

I really liked the chili peppers they brought out along with the soy sauce.

This is a pricey restaurant but well worth it when it...

I tried to reserve a table. For a cosmopolitan, international restaurant with many foreign visitors, they should have someone in reception who can speak a little English, at least enough to make a booking. LATER: OK so I made it to Miyabi. The sushi bar experience in the air conditioning is excellent but the Tempura was wet, soggy, nasty and inedible I had to send it back please train or fire the guy on the fryer and DON'T let the Tempura leave the kitchen unless it is sizzling hot, crispy, light - not greasy, dripping or oily. The decor is outstanding. I consoled myself with lots of hot sake and departed with a warm glow thinking with small improvements this could become the best Japanese restaurant in Yucatán.

When I lived in Merida I used to come here all the time. One of my favourite rolls being the Momoka Roll. Recently while visiting Mérida with my boyfriend we ordered the gyoza which was quite good. We also ordered ramen but it wasn’t great. However I know the restaurant has great food for the most part so I won’t lower the stars. The Ramen however is a very plain broth, they only give you slices of an egg rather than a full half egg, the egg was over cooked so there was no yoke to mix into the broth, and the meat as well was super over cooked and tough to chew. It looked like ramen but it didn’t taste of have the texture of ramen. It was a poor imitation.
