As a Thai, born and raised in Chiang Mai and working in Bangkok, I've never encountered a "Thai" dish that was so completely un-Thai. I understand that Thai cuisine abroad is often adapted, but I've traveled to countless countries, including Canada and America, and the taste differences were never as extreme as what I experienced here. I'm truly sorry that you've misrepresented our culture in such an inaccurate way. The only item on my menu that could even remotely be called Thai was plain rice with a fried egg. I strongly suggest you study Thai food from YouTube; our ingredients are quite similar to what's available globally. The basil you used was not basil at all (and if it were holy basil, I would understand). Instead, the leaves you included were from a different plant entirely. Larb I know consists of finely minced meat, as the Thai word "laab" means to make something finely chopped. However, I received meat cut into large, crosswise pieces. Furthermore, Thais traditionally use forks and spoons, not chopsticks. You even asked me if I would use chopsticks, which clearly showed a lack of understanding of our culture. And the spoon I received was a serving spoon for curry (used for transferring curry from a large dish to individual plates). Very few Thais would use such a spoon to eat their main meal outside; it's typically used by those in very poor circumstances. ‼️I want to warn anyone who has been to Thailand to be very cautious before eating at this restaurant.‼️ Como tailandés, nacido y criado en Chiang Mai y trabajando en Bangkok, nunca me he encontrado con un plato "tailandés" que fuera tan completamente ajeno a nuestra cultura.

I've eaten at a lot of thai restaurants and this is by far the worst food I've ever had in my life. I ordered the red and peanut curry and it was so bad that i couldn't even eat it. I ordered the shrimp curry and the shrimp was really overcooked and tasted old, the chicken was tough and they thought by adding pineapples and carrots in the curry would add some flavor to it. 😂😂😂😂 wow . Thank God the white jasmine rice was edible. I don't understand how this restaurant has good reviews, seriously I've you people eaten Thai food before because this isn't it. *** Also i see the Owner bad mouthing customers who had a bad experience. Seriously get over yourself and actually make food that resembles actual Thai cuisine. Like 1 of the reviews said Google the recipe and make it yourself instead of going to this place.

Last night we stopped by Thai Thai for their buy one Pad Thai and get the second one free, the restaurant is hidden, so you will need to use a GPS to get there. My wife and I both ordered the special two Pad Thai's with Chicken, we also ordered Dumplings and Spring Rolls. The Dumplings were very salty, but they replaced them for some that was just steamed. My wife's Spring Roll was made fresh and she loved every bite. The Pad Thai was Steaming Hot and Delicious, with plenty of chicken, the peanut sauce was tangy and had lots of flavor. Or server Sandra was very friendly and even spoke English too. The place needs better chairs, they are not too comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean. We will definitely come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Thai Gem in Mérida Worth Discovering

Tucked just behind a sleek glass-and-steel front, partially hidden by a metal structure, Thai Thai is the kind of place you stumble upon and instantly feel lucky to have found. I arrived without a reservation, simply wandering the area, and was welcomed with warm smiles from a friendly, attentive staff. The atmosphere was calm—not overly busy—which made the experience feel even more personal.

I started with a Thai tea with coconut milk, perfectly balanced and refreshing. Then came the highlight: a Thai-style Tom Yum with Yellow Curry, prepared without spices or hot peppers as a thoughtful courtesy from the chef himself. The flavors were rich, aromatic, and deeply authentic—proof that true Thai cuisine doesn’t need to rely on heat alone to impress.

To finish, I tried the Coco Siam, a new dessert on their menu. Creamy, subtly sweet, and beautifully presented, it was the perfect ending to a meal that felt both comforting and elevated.

From start to finish, the service was impeccable—genuine smiles, attentive without hovering, and a clear pride in what they serve. The food was as authentic as it gets in Mérida, and the experience left me already planning my return.

If you’re looking for real Thai flavors, thoughtful hospitality, and a setting that feels like a secret you’re glad to share,...

Primero una calificación mas puntual. Comida: 9/10. Servicio 9/10. Lugar: 9.5/10.
