Win Fa — Restaurant in Mérida

I wanted to leave a 3.5 stars but it's not possible.

The good things... food tasted pretty good. Monday to Friday the buffet is 205 with a dessert. Drink is extra. I enjoyed the chicken wings but it was a little slow to be replenished. The milanesa de pollo y pescado is OK too. Generally pretty good food but I had to goto the washroom as soon as I got home. Nothing like food poisoning but just a general reminder not to eat this kind of food too often.

The place is very busy, service is friendly. Washrooms are very clean.

But.. if you're generally a protein heavy eater like myself, you'll be served a lot of heavily salted, heavily deep fried foods that may not agree with your stomach. I can't say there's anything wrong with the food, but be warned. Your stomach may not agree with you later.

Would I return? I don't think so. But it did satisfy my appetite for american style Chinese food. Price wise, with a drink, it's a decent meal with friendly attentive service. I didn't feel rushed to leave, and there was a long queue of people there to get food to go. A surprising amount of people for takeaway. Likely more than the actual customers for the all you can eat buffet. You'd be surprised.

Some dishes are good, others are average, good price for all you can eat. I visited this place years ago and swore never come back, well never say never, I get surprised for how this place change for good, the food complements were very tasty, the rice, noodles chicken and wings, nevertheless, the main food were all average and untasty, do you a favor and keep you away of the shrimps, in the all you can eat mode they have the cheesecake and imposible desserts from Costco, some fruit and jelly. We arrived at the beginning of the lunch hours. All the food was piping hot and fresh. The one soup they offered was excellent. The fried fish fillet was fine, but the fried shrimp was so thin, it would be difficult to discern the flavor. The numerous other dishes were very good and packed full of fresh vegetables and flavor.
