El Sazón de Calín — Restaurant in Mérida

Arrived first to an empty restaurant was greated well and helped to seat. Order a drink then waited to order more food. As I'm ordering more food 2 more families come in. I am then not spoken to for the entire stay. No drink refills no drinks to add even though I mentioned I'd like to get another drink. The daiquiri was salty, if that's normal I don't like it. I never even got to speak about anything because I was ignored until I asked for the check. I didn't receive my food until 3 minutes after all the other families received their food, who came as I ordered my food. If it's a matter of switching staff, communicate that there's other tables. Simply amazing! I wish I could give more than five stars. The service was impeccable and the prices were extremely reasonable. The decor definitely gives a seafood joint vibe, but not overly tacky. But the food? Woah! The ceviche mixto came with raw oysters-a first for me-it was simply amazing. The tacos de Cara ok were superb as was virtually everything else.

We love this place! We've been several times, and it's always excellent. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Some of our favorites are the torta de camarones empanizados, camarones al mojo de ajo, camarones de coco, camarones con crema de ajo and tostadas con pulpo frito.
